Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

Have you considered going PC? Not suggesting that it should be necessary, but I went that way earlier this year and it’s nice to be able to tune things for the performance you like (and not nice other ways).

I was actually surprised at how good 30 fps felt in both Starfield and Redfall.

Also, you can play Starfield in 3rd person. I used a mix of first and third, depending on what i was doing. Works great.

Yeah , there’s more troubleshooting on pc. I remover for weeks I had issues of blizzard games hitting 2fps but I had to go into bios and fix my display to fix issue. I think little inconvenience like that makes pc gaming a bit frustrating . However, a ton of customization and play how you want to play on pc which makes it great

Starfield is a game that many are enjoying ( I mean you don’t have a 40 hours average per player if people hate it ), with a very VERY vocal minority hating on it for clicks and because it’s “cool”.

That’s one of the easiest things to do though, you don’t shoot on the way up you shoot on the way down, as the movement going up is more erratic. Also don’t aim down sights, as ADS is specific for boost assault training(not boost pack training), where we hover in the air for a short time like I Halo 5 while slowing time down at max level.

As many here know, I prefer third person over first person but played and will continue to play Starfield in first person when on foot as it feels and plays better than in third person especially in regards to the shooting mechanics and gunplay. The only time I play in third person is when im in the ship because im better in third person than I am in first person in this regard.

In general, despite being 30FPS, the shooting, gunplay and overall gameplay felt great, smooth and very responsive. While I have negatives with Starfield, the 30FPS isn’t one of them.

it really goes beyond that for me. playing Starfield made me realize i really dont want to play anything in 30 fps anymore. it was the first 30 fps game in 3 years and i rather not play it at all than in 30fps.

i cant go back.

That’s fair, for me as long as the frame time isn’t a mess I’m good to go. Which is unfortunate because even at 60fps, if the frame time is a mess that game is unplayable if vrr doesn’t smooth out the issue.

Imagine what Microsoft can do with just these Studios… :exploding_head:

Mine is actually sitting next to my TV and I play everything with the controller. Works pretty well, but obviously not perfect.

honestly its time to bring Quake back.

i loved playing through Quake 1 and 2 remaster + some of the mods for it on gamepass this year.

i played and beat the original back in '96 on a Pentium 1 75mhz.(90mhz turbo mode). the game was even indexed in my country but i still had access to it bc of my dad lol.

I had to overclock the cpu via a jumper on the motherboard to play Quake 2 in a very small window like 1/3 the size of my already tiny screen. never actually beat it until this year.

good times man.

The people that are worried/concerned about video games are called what’s the word? Oh yeah, LOSERS. We don’t bother ourselves with losers in the real world yet on social media they seem to be a big deal.

That last one on the bottom right is very Nitendo-ish. If Ninja Theory decides to go in that direction, it might do very well considering how popular Nintendo is.
