What’s up with Xbox non-game development hiring acquiring Sony’s team? If there’s folks out there that believe Sony became worldwide success because of these folks, then that should translate the same for Xbox. Of course, that’s a theory for now but the fact they may see it like that means they are serious to push it out there.
I am so excited for Toys for Bob under Microsoft - just let them utilise the IP at their disposal and make the type of games they want to make and they’ll be something special for Xbox and game pass.
The least we can say here is, that looks a bit too brightly coloured for Call of Duty at least

Repeating this here. We need more original super hero ip games like infamous or prototype. Those marvel license fees are crazy.
Well the primary reason they make the games is the IP… Infamous, Prototype… did not blow up like Batman Arkham, Spider-Man, Jedi, etc.
Infamous and prototype sold fairly well didnt they?
I think they did decently but nothing like those other games mentioned
That being said, they didn’t have to worry about the insane costs involved like those either
Been saying that for a long time!
Marvel knows the power of their IP so will naturally want a big cut of sales.
Let’s be honest here, what else is Insomniac going to do that will bring in anywhere near the ROI as Spiderman etc.
It’s a similar situation with Arkane and Machine Games by the way, so I am not singling out Insomniac.
AAA gaming is just too costly and you need more casual players to buy your games which a recognised IP can help.
That’s why I’m not the happiest with Indiana Jones and Blade, they could be cool and well made games for sure that draw mainstream attention, but what I want from those studios, it’s probably gonna be different.
Don’t mind the studios making the above games, but the fear is that they will be trapped on licensed IPs and we will not get to see their creativity being unleashed.
Blade seems more like a one and done imo ngl. Maybe thats just me being stupid. But if it blows every arkane game out the water in sales then yeah there will probably be a sequel.
Those Marvel/Disney terms are wild.
Damn…
