Or even better, why would Microsoft spend $7.5B in 2020 on acquiring Bethesda if they were going third party?
If Microsoft didn’t go third party before Bethesda or after Bethesda, imagine the chances of them going third party if they were to acquire a major top tier publisher like ABK? Oh man.
Seriously, so many people are so fucking stupid, desperate and hoping for Microsoft to go third party because they know that Sony’s time is running out and like King David says, you can’t save KONG!!!
Something i just thought of reading your post and mentioning Bethesda and ABK. to go off what you are saying, if they were planning on going third party why not mention that in the PI trial, or why get a contract to insure CoD will remain on PS? those seem like things they would have used to get the FTC off their back, right?
True. I agree with you but they’re not going third party so it obviously never came up.
In general, I simply see it as PlayStation fanboys so used to getting nearly everything for 25+ years on their platform that they became spoiled and thus, entitled. And they just can’t handle that in reality, they’re not entitled to a damn freaking thing and they know this, they just can’t accept it. Sucks to be them.
Sony fanboys are so spoiled that they twist everything in their own point of view.
Sony has no 1st party announced : no, they have. Every 3rd party exclusivity deal is de facto a 1st party game (see Era theads).
MS bought a studio (not only a deal but a buyout) : the games should stay on playstation because “legacy” and “gamer rights”.
Sony has deals that prevent equity : “stop whining and buy a playstation, like everyone else”
Ms invest more and more in gaming and has many games announced : MS goes third party
MS announces Xbox/PC exclusivity : PS port will come eventually, how can MS lose ps money
Sony invest in gaas with delays, exagerated price for failing Bungie, “retirement” of boss and cancelation of games, in addition to a empty roadmap and pathetic profits : All is good and the future will be even better
ARA, MSFS 2024, Towerborne, and Hellblade 2 are releasing in the first half of the year, methinks. Probably will be the four games featured in the next Developers Direct.
Well I played Sea of Thieves 1 year before its official release with the insider program it is possible that Rare offers the base of Everwild and that the community helps Rare to build the game (there are a lot of ideas from the forums which have been added to Sea of Thieves Rare wants to create the games with the community)
I may be wrong, but if 343 can start to have such drop on a regular basis, and this not even planned, it means they are getting efficient using their engine to produce contents.
I certainly expect a multiplayer of some kind but that’s so broad, the only thing we really know is the art style but iirc both trailers weren’t even in engine so who knows how close to that art style we will even get although I do imagine that’s the look they are going for
I feel like the theme is very much about caring for the environment and preserving it, it’s in the name. I can see it be cooperative, how many people can cooperate in caring for and building natural ecosystems, maybe without any PvP. And it’ll probably hit relevant commentary with all the lack of climate action we’re seeing in the real world.
