Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

Prey 2 would be my choice too but I think even if it isn’t, they will go back to what they know and do best, a proper immersive sim

I know they said next year but I would love it if this made the December drop. I really want to play it but I’m waiting for gamepass

FYI sale just started.

Diablo IV base game is on sale for $42 but I have a question -

I know that an internet connection and Battle.net account s required which is fine but do I need Game Pass Core or Ultimate to play the game? I don’t care about any PvP stuff or teaming up with other players so does anyone know if I can play the game without having Core/Ultimate? Thanks.

I remember reading you don’t need Xbox live or psn. To play it , but will need to double check

Okay, thanks. Will dig deeper.

Not sure what this means exactly, but it looks like Kim Swift, which was Senior Director of Cloud Gaming at Xbox Publishing has been promoted to Head of Creative (without any Cloud Gaming reference, it seems?)

Cloud gaming being licensed and sold off. MS will provide Cloud development stack and rent server space to providers. Yeah! JK I don’t know.

Sounds like the same position Ken Lobb holds (held?).

Bought Diablo IV standard edition since it was on sale for $42 and damn, this game is really good. Internet connection being required is annoying but it didn’t stop me from playing Division 1 & 2 and Outriders so it won’t stop me here. Thankfully, Game Pass Core/Ultimate isn’t required to play the game. A pop-up message appears when starting the game saying that it’s recommended to play with online multi-player capability but since all these features aren’t for me, I can easily just play like I would any other game.

Played for two hours or so just checking out the game. Will be playing as a Rogue. Played with the season content active and Tier 2 which is the hardest difficulty level available I think. Didn’t die once. Definitely dark and mature. I completed the first dungeon and what happens afterwards is definitely dark and gruesome. I won’t say anymore but man, I shouldn’t have passed on this game months ago. Not sure when I will be playing for real as due to work, im trying to play shorter games but it’s definitely a game that I will be completing. Don’t really care about the seasonal content but definitely interested in the expansion and very happy that it’s a year or so away as that gives me plenty of time to play through the base game.

I know you’re joking but I really don’t think that’s likely lol

I imagine Kim’s previous responsibilities (Kojima’s game etc) are still included under her new role, which sounds very similar to Joseph Staten’s job at XGSP (both before he went to 343 and what he was originally going to return to before he got poached by Netflix).

Edit: Or Ken Lobb, yeah.

That’s how you do Live-Service
