Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

Same here. Really ready to see some Hellblade 2, especially for those graphics. It looked amazing during the TGA a few years ago, it was too brief last June. I expected Avowed too to look visually improved. But even if it were not to change, I have faith it will be a great game.

Physical launch in Spain almost on par with MWII

2022 - MWII 23k

2023 - MWIII 21k

2021 - Vanguard 10.5k

People playing the MP for longer is always a good sign

Yeah, despite the rough development and controversy, it’s really good. I played MWII a lot but it was missing something. Deaths felt cheap, new maps weren’t that great and weapons had so much recoil, it wasn’t that fun. Only the weapons unlocks, customization and modes kept it alive for me.

MWIII corrected all that. Maps are so good and iconic, gameplay is top notch, all the stuff you previously unlocked is there, everything just clicks and you actually understand when and from where you get hit and killed. The game is really really addictive, so no surprise it’s getting higher numbers of hours played.

I’m getting hooked into the one more game aspect of this game. It’s really good

I would like to know US and Europe numbers to see if it had a drop in sales compared to MW2. I expect one but dont know how big.

Dont know if the fact they haven’t announced revenue results indicates its not selling as much as MW2 or now that they are under Microsoft they will stop doing that  Nevertheless, those are great engage results.

I was told here the campaign doesn’t matter, it’s bad, and unimportant :doge:

It’s call of duty. For the most part it’s going to be the top seller or very close every year despite the desire of some people for it and other yearly multiplayer games to die. The same applies for fifa, nba 2k, madden and co

That was always a comment born from ignorance; we’ve already seen what developers do if players aren’t playing campaigns - they nix them as we’ve seen with Battlefied. Clearly there were more than enough players to justify the costs of all that big name talent… but yeah, no one plays the campaigns

I always expected a drop from MW2 purely because it was their biggest launch yet and then with the rumors that MW3 was basically gonna be a “dlc”, I still expect it to be on the high end of their sales, so less than 2 but way more than Cold War or Vanguard

it will be interesting long term though, MW3’s multiplayer seems to be much better received than 2’s was

MW3 is going fine. The idea that sales should always be bigger year over year is only a speculative financial concept. I am glad Gamepass is softeing this kind of pressure.

Imagine devs one year “Yes, we sold a lot” then followed by “No, we will need to sell more next year”

3 Microsoft games in the top twitch list. No Sony one. Sony really need to find a way to stay afloat and compete

I’m not gonna expect anything, and then we’ll see.

Looking back everyone should understand why they weren’t there last year. Now that ABK is a part of Microsoft(man that still feels unreal), I’m sure they’ll show something. Also last years fits that Numerous people had over the no-show are gonna age like milk.

Yeah, well, after the Blizzard show I’m just not gonna expect anything. People expected the new IP there and it didn’t happen and Xbox at TGA could mean just a Game Pass reel. I’m just gonna expect nothing and then I’ll be surprised if they have something really cool.

That is two different things.

There was nothing at Blizzard show because the studio just was bought.

at TGA, they can show or announce any game from Bethesda or Xbox Game Studios.

I expect them to be there in some form this year beyond the usual third party game coming to GP

That being said, I’m not expecting anything major although I don’t really care regardless, not even gonna bother watching it live

True, but I believe it was Jez that implied the new IP would be there or did people just assume so? Even so, it’s always better to keep expectations in check.

Jez just said Xbox fans would want to watch
