This is a problem here and every time it comes up from the community or from staff I second guess staying here or being a patron.
Yes, the bias exists. Nobody is arguing otherwise. Complaining about it will do nothing to change it. It just creates a perception of us vs them mentality. It’s entirely unproductive.

Classic Halo never did it for me, tried 2 as a kid and found it really boring, fell for the Halo 3 hype in the 360 gen and found the campaign boring and hated the multiplayer
It wasn’t until H2A that I really started enjoying the multiplayer, I also started a LASO playthrough on Halo 2 that was absolutely brutal but personally I think it’s far more fun than vanilla Halo 2, I feel without that crazy challenge the campaign is just hella boring
I play Infinite all the time though, like 5 days played or something
Gears was always my baby though, Gears 1 on 360, both campaign and MP are some of the my favourite gaming memories
I’m glad I played Halo as an adult because if I only had the first game to play I wouldn’t have bothered with the series after finishing the first game.
Eh, I see where you are coming from when halo 1st came out my friend group joked it was unreal just with reloading and grenades.
I love both games and think there is space for both… Wish epic didn’t cancel the latest iteration.
It’s funny when you mentioned grenades. I remember how it used to be a weapon select. When you can simply throw it while carrying your current weapon, I was like “Evolutionary!!!”

I’ve been impatiently waiting for all the store sales (Xbox, PSN, Switch, Steam) so that I can finally pick up at least some of the amazing games that have come out this year….without the immediate accompanying shame my wallet reminds me of lol.
In fact, that’s a good prompt: what first-party titles (which now includes ABK) are you looking to pick up on sale? Love to see everyone’s lists across all platforms, but if we could at least make sure the lists here have some 1st party love (to stay on topic)
AOE4 hit almost 30k players on Steam today. Wondering how much higher it can go. Nice to see it doing so well since it’s an amazing game. Hoping for more expansions.
Grounded also hit 15k today. And Infinite got almost to 13k yesterday, thanks to the new playlist. Good stuff.

Sony and PlayStation talk should be confined to their respective topics and the community topic in my opinion because once someone mentions the other side, it just snowballs.
The only first party game that im interested in buying would be Diablo IV which if it’s 50% off then I might pull the trigger but im not expecting the discount to be that big so I’ll probably just wait for it to release on Game Pass next year especially when there’s no guarantee that I play through the entire game.
As for the other platforms, nothing for me. Don’t care about Nintendo. Only bought one Steam game in the last decade which was about a year ago (Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine which isn’t available for purchase on consoles) and Sony wise, I just bought and 100% completed Spider Man 2 so nothing for a while for me.

We will DEFINITELY see a new Quake before a new Unreal Tournament. Epic flat out doesn’t care about the franchise anymore.
