Xbox Game Studios |OT11| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

Would be great just BC, enhanced & fps boosted, if not, a remaster/remake would be lovely to even then setup a revival… who am I kidding, just dreaming, not gonna happen :broken_heart:

Fable is going to be next level, love hearing how much inspiration they took from CD Projekt/Witcher, and I recall other people saying that other than Jez when talking about Fable. I really hope this game gets the “Fable Direct” after the showcase treatment as I think this is gonna blow a lot of people away.

With Microsoft Flight Simulator only hours away from going aloft, here’s a great personal account of growing up with Microsoft Flight Simulator, recounting the technical and social highlights of each version of the game, all the way back from 1982.

I’ll also include the NoClip documentary, covering MSFS 2020, and including an interview with Jorg Neumann, and another retrospective of all versions of MSFS, by Yetty.

Fable is gonna be awesome

Options for multiple protagonists would be very welcome. I don’t mind playing at all as a character the dev created themselves but Fable always did offer a choice. Next “E3” should be glorious with more gameplay and hopefully it truly releases next year.

The idea of the Witcher combat is great but I never found its execution proper, here’s to hoping Fable gets it right in that regard.

Another thing that I would like them taking from Witcher would be the world structure, particularly of 2, which I think Fable was like that itself. Multiple smaller scale cities with each their theme and story progression, not necessarily a one big continuous world… that is a wish, I don’t think it would happen though.

Yeah, I think they’ll go with it being fully open-world given their experience with the FH series. If they do, I hope they include horses for traversal.

Yes, that’s why I think too. The world is definitely gonna look insane and at scale, and when they don’t need to stream it in to the speed of cars, they can load in even more detail. And yes, that would require more traditional traversal, horses etc. and would they have flying, I wonder? It seems most open worlds have a flying/gliding thing nowadays, hehe.

We need that D_D blowout ASAP!

Glad I’m not the only one wary about the witcher 3 combat comment, because no matter how much people talked up the game, one complaint that always came up was that the combat was the weakest part of it and I agree after playing it.

I hope there is a rideable chicken.

The moves and blows need to feel good, satisfactory and sadly that wasn’t really the case in Witcher 3. So yeah, let’s hope they nail this. Maybe it’s meant as Witcher 3 like combat as in real-time? I’m sure it will have its own feeling.

I loved Witcher 2 & 3 but their combat was a struggle for me, only tolerable after many hours of getting used to it.

The combat in The Witcher 3 was great. The issue was the “locked stance” that Geralt is in during combat. If this aspect didn’t exist, I don’t see why anyone would complain. Loved countering enemy attacks and I remember doing this with bandits, cutting off their heads and then watched the heads roll down the hills due to the wind blowing. Shit was fucking awesome!!!

If Fable has this level or gruesome, oh fuck yeah!!! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!!

Agreed on all that, but something felt off about hitting enemies. Hard to put my finger on it, but combat in some other games felt more satisfying to me.

Really? I felt the impact was pretty good. The only main issue with combat outside of the fixed stance was the bow which I only ever used under water. That weapon sucked. I do agree that combat in other games are better. No argument there.

I too enjoyed the combat a lot in Witcher 3, especially after experiencing the previous two. Genuinely think it’s a model that should be mimicked far more than something like a Soulslike in a fast-paced environment (cough AC cough).

Once you get the rhythm and animations down, you can slice your way through an army imo.
