Yup, they already did full seasons in FH4 along with the massive lake which froze in winter and fh4 just a 2 year dev cycle, pretty crazy how they managed that. It’s almost 4x the assets. I think they rotated seasons weekly in FH4, so winter, summer, autumn and spring had totally different looks. Sometimes people had trouble completing challenges in winter and then everyone hated winter, and now everyone is missing winter season again.
FH5 its mostly the volcano that changes, as the lake freezes over.
“Revealed on the official Indiana Jones and the Great Circle website, players will be able to explore “a dynamic mix of linear, narrative-driven gameplay and open-area maps”. That’s right, while the gameplay trailer largely focused on the more linear and explosive set-piece moments like leaping between planes mid-air, there will also be much larger environments to explore.”
It sounds like a mix of linear levels and more open areas to explore which sounds awesome to me, personally I don’t have a problem with more open areas (or a more linear design too) since it’s more a matter of making the right design choices and implementations. I think exploring more open areas with Indy fits the game perfectly IMO, it all comes down to how interesting level design will be and if the exploration will be rewarding.
I never realised they basically confirmed this, thanks for pointing it out. Hopefully they dont litter the open world zones with collectibles and checklists
Can’t have a proper Indiana Jones games without the linear set pieces and the open areas where Indy gets to show off his smarts by solving ancient puzzles and outsmarting foes.
I used to be like you, and as I got older, and especially with the wife, kids, gym, renovations, etc; I end up having so little time to play games that I enjoy whatever I can with Gamepass and only focus on the main story most of the time. Sometimes I’ll grab a small game with easy achievements though to boost my gamer score as I’m almost at 200k and I’d really like to reach it soon.
My time sink is now battle passes although I’ve cut down considerably on those as well.
Tomb Raider is not as bad as other games imo, there’s extra stuff to do but it’s a lot more manageable than other games. And sometimes it’s worth it. Like I used to love finding and doing all of the extra tombs in Rise of the Tomb Raider, their fun puzzle pieces to be honest and definitely worth your time.
Talking about the game is making me wanna watch the movie tonight actually, it’s been a while!
