Anybody got anything to add to this summary of everything we know about MS publishing?
I’d love that, but they must keep Sean Bean and Patrick Stewart in it lol.
Was one of my first 360 games and hearing such famous voices in major roles on a big RPG it felt like gaming was finally hitting the big time, becoming as big as movies

My assumption (since this is Poland) is that the hiring that we saw for Infinity Ward Poland’s AAA RPG actually became this studio.

Megan Starks, former Obsidian narrative designer, went over to Activision a couple of years ago. I assume this is what she’s working on.

Perhaps I am an eternal pessimist but I dont get excited about news like this. Starting a new studio from scratch with a new project is itself inherently risky.
The Initiative has gone well…

It’s exciting to know that Activision is investing in non-COD AAA development

While I normally would be stoked about new studios forming… The fact that Ms just closed 3 studios and are opening 1 puts a bad taste in my mouth

The Initiative remains to be seen. If insider reports are true things are going well with that. Hopefully we see PD in June.

Studio has likely been operating before the acquisition even began. There is no connection between the two other than the one people want to make.

They shut down studios that had gone though turnover and had struggled to put out successful games, now they are re investing in a a location that is very favorable for game development. It isn’t like they shut down studios because they were strapped for cash, it’s because of those studios not in a position to bring a return.

After reading about seasons in AC Shadows I really want seasons even more in Fable. How awesome that would be.
