Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

Would DLSS be on console too? And why is it bad news?

People complaining that game pass has too many indies don’t enjoy gaming. Everyone on Xbox was playing Call of Duty and Castle Crashers back in the day, millions of people play Minecraft and Among US and more. If you hate indie games you’re limiting your options on what to play. You’ve heard Matt Booty recently. AAA games take 5-6 years to publish, they need to release stuff in between. Towerborne looks like it could be a great game for xbox, its giving me potential Castle Crashers energy.

You need content for people to play every month to stay subscribed and to hit titles they never would’ve played otherwise. Expecting every game from Xbox to be Gears of War budget will just give people waiting fatigue. People need content to play regardless of budget.

Ori was great. I’ve played a bit of As Dusk Falls with family and we had a lot of fun with it.

I am talking about PC.

Most PC users use Nvidia over AMD or something, DLSS is a PC only thing I believe as consoles use AMD tech, not Nvidia like Nintendo

So FSR2 means consoles can take advantage of it as well as PC’s but PC’s cant utilise DLSS which is considered better than FSR

I think that’s the jist of it but who knows, PC gamers are always whining about something

They always are

Doesn’t mean much anyway, someone will just mod it in, been done in a bunch of other games

Bad news for PC users.

That’s a bummer. But good for Xbox? I wonder what it will mean.

Maybe ? Doubt we’ll notice anything. Same deal applied to Halo Infinite.

PC users should first worry about the game not having stutter issues before worrying about an upscaling tech in my opinion.

It looked great during the Direct.

Xbox was going to have FSR even if there wasn’t an AMD deal for Starfield on PC.

The “good” news for the Xbox version is that since it’s locked to 30 FPS, the internal resolution should be somewhere from 1080p to 1440p, which while it isn’t great, it’s not terrible so the image quality should be still fine.

It’s terrible news for PC as AMD sponsored games are normally bad ports, high VRAM usage, bad image upscaling (except for 4k output in the highest quality modes) , high CPU usage etc.

Pretty much trash port confirmed

If the port is bad it will because of Bethesda doing a poor job, nothing because of AMD/Nvdidia

Plenty of Nvidia ports are terrible, plenty of AMD ports are perfectly fine

You know what AMD being their partners makes sense, since they announced a partnership back in 2017.

So they’re just continuing to work together as before.

Its crazy actually sony wrapped up 95 percent of japanese 3rd aprty support during the ps2 era and had GTA timed exclusive. They wer actively blocking games going to xbox and gamecube and being successful most of the time due to the market share.

I remember when Tales of Symphonia came out as an gamecube exclusive and namco got abaolutely hammered by the japanese media and gaming industry about skipping ps2. How dare a jrpg skip ps2…it csme out on ps2 but never got localised. Re4 same thing…didnt want to make ps2 version but was pressured into it.

Im sure it will support it eventually. If not…oh well. Pc users will have to move onto the superior graphic chips.

It will be one fo the first things modded into the game

They’ll be fine, they just like to whine

I believe DF said this too, it was above 1080p, but what exactly is internal resolution? Say for example that RDR2 is native 4K, which it is, is the internal resolution still lower?

From my understanding internal resolution is the actual resolution the game is running on, before FSR/DLSS is applied and scales it to a much cleaner than 4k(mostly only seen talk with DLSS) image.
