Momentum been all down hill since Halo. The showcase can’t come soon enough.
Colt pooped on both Minecraft Legends and Minecraft Dungeons. I wouldn’t put any weight in his opinion.

No what’s going on right now you got to “bad news” and you’re seeing the realness of half the people who are focused on Xbox That’s why I kind of stop following these people because the places your side isn’t sufferable but the Xbox size is almost as bad because some of these people are gotten too f****** into this hobby where they need to take a break take some time away from it go focus on your actual kids go focus on your life and stop getting overly mad about some negative news half the negative news is not even truly that negative it’s something your mind

Good criticism is good for the brand but some of those folks are going off the rails. I blocked a number of them. Sorry I’m getting off topic. I’m looking forward to Redfall. I think it’s going to be good.

I feel with Redfall its split into three groups. The first group just wants to play the game and doesn’t care about the discourse. The second group cares about the game, but prefer shooters on 60 fps, so they’ll wait. Then the last group is just using this as an opportunity to dunk on MS/Xbox and create negative narratives about the brand.
Anyways, the damage is done, but I feel it must be tough on the devs mentally because whenever the game is mentioned is the last group is using it as an opportunity to dunk on Microsoft.

I just want the game to be great and I’ll be disappointed if it isn’t . It wasn’t meant to be a reflection of meta-commentary across the platform.
I was also just relaying what colt and co said. Don’t shoot the messenger 
Colt is legitimately hurt he didnt get a review code, he thinks he has been blacklisted it seems.

Dead Island 2 is a 75, I paid $110 AUD on it and enjoyed every second of it, like I’ve said a million times I’ll never let scores dictate what games I play and buy, even more so with Game Pass games because I ain’t paying for em.

Metacritic is inconsistent because overhyped AAA still get disgustingly high scores when they’re totally underserving but there’s loads of games in the 70’s which are very good, like Dead Island 2, Atomic Heart or Dying Light 2. Mad Max was great last gen & it got hammered by critics.
As a rule of thumb though anything below 70 starts to get into a sort of consensus area where fundamentally subpar elements come together to create a subpar final product. Think Anthem or Marvel’s Avengers.
No amount of updates or added features improved the reception of the titles down the line either (unlike games like Destiny or Sea of Thieves which became more popular as the months & years passed).
