Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

More games is probably the PC-centric stuff that comes out on PC first like Flight Sim, AOE, and ARA

People are forgetting that console game pass tend to get some console only day 1 drops, I don’t think there’s any problem between Pc and Xbox GP. I pay for ultimate anyway and think even at $15 a month it’s a massive bargain and I’d be happy to pay $10 a month for Normal GP, all the versions are massive bargains.

To prevent this from going down a path of arguments, I was only mentioning some of the sentiment that people have lol

I recall people hating Game Pass for getting more love over PC. Are we in the opposite phase now?

I’m just stating facts though. I have no agenda in comparing them, but console only gamers has to pay more for the same stuff. That might be annoying to some people.

In the context of the “second class citizen” bs it is relevant. You are free to hate it.

Personally, I would delay Redfall to 2024. It’s not ready, plain and simple. People need to stop defending this crap and then act surprised when Microsoft and Xbox criticized every time you turn around. This is why.

Redfall should be delayed for three reasons -

  1. 60FPS Performance Mode at launch. Patching it in can only cause other issues with the game as patches in general normally do.

  2. Remove the always online component for those playing solo. This is also connected to #1 because if im playing solo, there’s no excuse as to why the game can’t run at 60FPS. I’m not playing co-op and thus the excuse of un-tethered play doesn’t apply to those who’ll be playing solo.

  3. The biggest issue Redfall has is in regards to the player progression when playing co-op. It’s 2023. Not having progression for the team mates and only the host getting it is not going to go over well with those who’ll play this game with their friends. Solve this.

I’m honestly tired of people who always give their favorites a pass when they know they shouldn’t yet will trash publishers and companies that aren’t their favorite when they release a broken ass game.

Ubisoft is my favorite company by far and I crap on them more times than not because I want them to do better, to be better and release great games, not trash that needs another year or some crap. Every fan base should always demand better from the platform and companies that they love and prefer. Asking for anything less is simply non-sensical due to the fact that this is where the majority of your money and time are going towards.

Only #1 is worth delaying the game for. I’d be pissed off if they delayed it for the other reasons.

People live in this constant world of comparing and being outraged, it’s really getting on my nerves. There is always some thing people bitch about, there is like 300 games in game pass with games being added every two weeks how are people playing all these to the point being upset that 3 games are on PC game pass and not Xbox. There’s also games that you can buy and play that aren’t in game pass, but no I must make it known that those 5 PC games must be on Xbox and I demand it and it doesn’t matter if I want to play it or not!

Can people really not just be like it is not on my platform that sucks oh well I will play one of the other thousand games on the platform, that’s what I do and is that not a normal thing? I want to play Spiderman and Ratchet and Clank but don’t want to buy a PS5 so I just go oh well and load up FH5 or Vampire Survivor

I’ve said this somewhere else already. Assuming the only problem the game has is a delayed performance mode, why delay the whole game for everyone?

A ton of people won’t care or notice it. They have to wait cause some people want it to lauch later for arbitrary reasons?

That’s at least my opinion. For 2 and 3, I believe they already abandoned always online and for 3 I don’t have an opinion.

I think #2 is the least important and im not an online gamer at all but #1 and #3 are especially if you’re going to be playing in co-op. I would never play a game in co-op and not get progression for my character because in that scenario, why am I playing in the first place? The 60FPS is for solo and co-op so that obviously applies.

Because you want to release the game in a great state. You get only ONE release. That’s it. If you screw it up and miss the zeitgeist, you’re unlikely to get it back. Plus, it’s release a few days after Jedi Survivor which is going to take people away from Redfall on Xbox and those who own a Switch are unlikely to choose Redfall over Zelda.

Also, patches tend to break more things in a game than not which we seen all the time. Having everything in the game natively decreases the chances of other issues substantially. Playing solo, perhaps not but I think those who’ll be playing in co-op will notice the performance issues.

I agree, it’s too late to delay now. I’ll just delay my own playthrough, it is what it is.

Thing is, Redfall is not one of the big games we are waiting on so it is of less importance. That might sound harsh but I think it’s better to release it and get it over with.

Starfield is the big one, then we have Forza, Hellblade 2, Avowed, Fable, Perfect Dark etc. etc. Those are the big ones that has to be polished af and ready to release when they do. Those are the games that will define Xbox this gen.

The moronic takes just don’t end huh

I don’t know about 2024 but I was listening to the Xcast podcast and they said that because of the release timing, even if -you- still want to play it, you better hope your friends are also planning on playing it because of Star Wars and then Zelda and then everything coming in June.

Coop progression for host only also has to go. I know the IGN video misrepresented the game but it still didn’t look like a game that’s actually fun to play solo.

I thought you get character progression in co-op, just not story progression.

My solution is to have a co-op save that I play with my friends and a solo save.

I don’t really get why someone would play a game with their friends but continue without them and expect them to hop back in at some random point?

I see, you’re also looking at it from a marketing perspective. I’m not disagreeing with you on that front, I just don’t care about it. I’ll start caring about that as soon as Microsoft starts paying me to do so lol.

But to be serious, l’m sure the people at xbox have reasons to release it when it releases instead of delaying it.

Well that sure is a take.

Quit having fun right.

Folks who don’t want to play it at 30, you can delay it for yourselves.

  1. Delaying the game to 2024 is ridiculous for many reasons

  2. 30fps isn’t anywhere near as as big a deal as people are making it out to be and calling the game “unfinished” or in need of a 2024 delay is some smooth brain stuff

  3. Nobody gives a shit about always online, it’s 2023, as long as the servers are stable nobody isn’t going to even notice

  4. There’s coop progression, it’s just tied to character and not story

Yes it’s not ideal but plenty of coop games have worked this way, although I’m not too invested as i’ll be playing it entirely solo

Plus if you’re playing with the same group of friends this shouldn’t be an issue anyway, just continue where you leave off each time, not a perfect system but not worth the bitching either

tl:dr As someone who would like to play this at 60fps and was annoyed by the announcement, some of y’all whine too much

As much as I think it should be at launch I agree, FOMO is a real thing soon as the game is released if you don’t play it within the first week it’s “dead” to some people it seems.

You are correct.
