Too many people only know Steam and only shop on Steam, if MS really wants to grow GP on PC they should put it on Steam.

Agreed. Also, the Window Store sucks when it comes to gaming. Once the ABK deal closes, Microsoft should merge the gaming portion of the Windows Store with PC Game Pass into Battle.net. No reason to have two store fronts when you can just have a single superior one.

Considering they shut down that Bethesda launcher something is bound to happen, although I hope they don’t necessarily shut down the Battle.net launcher but use it instead. I don’t mind the Xbox app to be honest and I’ve never had any problems with it, but it seems to be hated by a lot of PC users so MS really needs to do something if they want PC game pass to grow.

I hope we get a remake of Morrowind some day. Would also love Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas remakes. I love me some Bethesda games. Yes, I know they didn’t make New Vegas. I hope MS start up a remake studio to bring back clunkier games from a few gens ago. I wouldn’t want to see the current teams do any of this work, they should continue making new things.

I’ve been hoping for this for a LONG time. Something like “Resurrection Studios” or some such. It really fits with Microsofts game preservation statements. I’d love remakes of Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Crimson Skies, and many more (in addition to your great examples with Behtesda in the fold, now).

Ooo claiming battle.net as suppior is a bold choice.
Especially with how little the ammount of games bnet handles.
I am curious to see if bnet folds into the windows store and steam like Bethesda launcher did.

I would love to see Microsoft make a more concentrated effort to bring new life to their ever growing back catalogue of games with some remakes and remasters.
Either specialised studios, or alternative they could have a team that functions more like World’s Edge or The Initiative where they have a core central team managing and overseeing projects while outsourcing the bulk of the work outside XGS.

I don’t have enough time to play all of the new games that I want to play, I don’t see how folks would have enough time for all of these remakes too.

I just pick and choose, there is no way I could play everything. I would love to play old favourites though with modern tight controls and a new coat of paint.

There are fan projects for Oblivion and Morrowind. Both running on the Creation Engine.
Skyblivion should release in 2025.
Skywind doesn’t have a release date yet.
