Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

Even if it will likely not the most popular request on a gaming forum, I remain my stance that Xbox is still missing a studio that creates original, small, family-friendly experiences for Game Pass.

No need for a big name or a large studio, simply a team that creates fun, little social games like Fusion Frenzy, Kung Fu Chaos or Fall Guys. I don’t want to sound greedy or anything and I’m more than happy with the Xbox first-party studios situation today, obviously, yet I always thought releasing simple social games on Game Pass will result in easy evergreens.

Totally agree.

Few days ago I was having a hard time looking for such games in Gamepass.

Agree 100%. Party games could be big on Game Pass and Xcloud. Would like to see a few teams dedicated to them. Doesn’t take big expensive teams to develop those types of games.

They had to get the mature AAA situation locked down for the hardcore. I feel like they’ve accomplished that with what they have. Now they can look to fill gaps.

Especially games i’d like to play along side with my kids.

Wonder if it would make sense to transition some of the teams that have a mobile focus over to working these sorts of games.

That mobile studio they inadvertently bought with Bethesda would be a good fit

Series X vs. Xbox One - What’s the Difference??

that team needs to built from scratch and not to buy a studio and say he guys i want you to make family friendly games only

I think one option worth considering is to continue expanding Rare. They are the one studio who artistically can nail the aesthetic for family friendly or party games. The art and style are under-rated in that genre. Too easy to make something that looks or feels generic. The nice thing about using Rare is that they have a cast of characters they can pull from which would increase engagement with any new IP.

They already have 3 teams but if Ninja Theory can have 4, maybe Rare can add some additional small teams as well.

Good call! Forgot about them. Would be interesting to see if they want to stay in mobile or if they’d be willing to take some shots at console.

Damn this looks lit. That Battlefield 4 is out of place though haha

What about Double Fine and Rare?

They already have Wolfenstein, isn’t that enough for the children???

I agree. Create a studio with a mission for these types of games. The True Xbox Arcade Games. Bring back that 1 v 100 i keep hearing about. More partnerships with Disney and more for those animated hits.

Double Fine is not exactly family friendly haha, their games have quite an irreverent nature to them. But they are still definitely the best pick for family friendly social games amongst the first party.

I had made my decision to keep my One X because I was going to regret selling it, since I can put it in another room and game there. But then I realized I can barely play any game because the majority of my games are digital and I use game sharing and or course the XSX will be using that for me and my brother.

Gonna try and see if I can sell it for a nice price, and if not, fuck it, it’ll look nice in the collection. Still got my OG Xbox, Xbox 360 too.

You can still play your games if you’re using the same GamerTag.
