I highly doubt Square/Enix will spend even one second making this game enhanced for Series X.

This will be the “Ultimate” edition or whatever they call it that has all the extra content and features of the Switch version though.

For all the talk about “nothing to play but old games” at launch for Xbox, first couple weeks will be a really nice 3rd party lineup for a covid impacted 2020. Quite a few time-sinks in there. Decent variety. Then Medium follows in December.

I agree. but… even if I am an Xbox fan, I cannot deny that, in terms of original content, it is VERY WEAK for an official lineup for Series X|S and a “Killer” title for the end of the year. They have MS Flight Simulator, this was supposed to be one of the launch titles… but where is it? certainly without Halo Infinite in 2020, it ruined MS plans for Series X|S and Xcloud, but the Team seems to be doing very well., with what it has… BC only. surely they could have more. this event before launch is necessary , I want to see how Halo Infinite is doing. I want to see the NEW things that we will play in 2021. pls Phil

Yeah there is a s***load of games coming out in the launch window. I can’t understand how people have the time to play everything that is launching, or have empty backlogs for that matter. How much time does these people have? I have 400+ games in my backlog, not to mention Game Pass before all of these new games… I could play nothing but old games I own for 10 years at this point.

I’ll be getting Call of Duty Cold War 3 days after launch, that will be great for a week. And then Cyberpunk releases, that will be enough for the rest of the year.

Let’s hope it’s at least a higher resolution than Switch, but surely that should be no concern at all.

Expect native Xbox Series X games gameplay tomorrow

I expect only Yakuza LAD, but wouldn’t it be sweet if there’s even more tomorrow of other games? But if not tomorrow, some other day this week or just this month, that much we know. Let’s GET IT!

Thinking back on it, I think Sea of Thieves will be one of the games showcasing the BC feature which can double the framerate from a purely locked framerate on One X. On One X, the game is a locked 30 FPS and Rare has already said that Sea of Thieves would benefit from the new features for BC. They also didn’t talk about a specific version made for Series S/X like with Gears 5 or Ori 2. All that makes me think it is because it will be a big showcase to show how awesome BC can exactly be.

FS2020 was never confirmed as a launch title by Xbox, just that it’s coming.

I am pretty sure they have mentioned it getting updates. There would be no reason to run a GaaS in BC mode when it is still being actively supported.
