Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

Agreed. 2021 should be a great year exclusives wise and when you add in multi-platform games, it will be an excellent year.

Aaron mentioned that we would be seeing series x enhanced gameplay later this month. The wording was strange though. It sounded like it would be for games already announced and releasing soon.

My 2021 Xbox first-party lineup predictions:

  • Psychonauts 2 - March
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator (Xbox) - April
  • Halo Infinite - July
  • Wolfenstein III - September
  • Starfield - November

Between StarField, Wolfenstein 3 and Halo one of them will get pushed to early 2022.

I’d say Wolfenstein 3 will be the 2022 title if one of them gets delayed.

I’m thinking Starfield. Wolfeinstein is AAA but its not really on the same level as Halo/Starfield. I think they should put Wolfenstein with Halo and let Starfield come out in early 2022.

I’ve said before that my ideal scenario is an AAA game every 4 months or basically 3 AAA games a year, so I’d like to see

Wolfenstein in September Halo in November-December Starfield Spring 2022

I’m thinking that Starfield is 2022 with or without a delay. Psychonauts 2 in March, Wolfenstein III in May, Flight Simulator in August and Halo Infinite in November which despite Psychonauts 2 being a multi-platform game is not a bad year at all.

Is Wolfenstein III supposed to be the end? Have they said it’s just gonna be a trilogy?

Youngblood ruined WS for me

Had a bad start with YB. A buddy and I wanted to give it a try, game wanted to force us to create (new) Bethesda Accounts and we both said “no!” So I never played it

Apparently, they may have two different teams, one working on W3 since New Colossus and the other one working on another game since YoungBlood.

I’m thinking it goes:

Halo Infinite: November 2021

Wolfenstein III: May 2022

Starfield: November 2022

I think the two factors of covid and MS juat wanting to make sure Starfield is polished and bug free means the game comes out late 2022

Nah, I’m not doubting the studio based off the delay. I have have little faith in the studio based off their years of stewardship of the Halo IP. They have had the IP longer than Bungie at this point. Sorry I have not been impressed with their handling of Halo for the last 10 years. They have not been able to put the total package together over the past 10 years. Halo 4 had a good campaign but bad MP, MCC had a catastrophic launch, Halo 5 had great MP but a terrible campaign. Halo infinite had the reveal it did and required supposedly had to develop a new engine. I know it’s easy to take a potshot and say I’m criticising them solely of the delay. I am not. The delay was necessary and I am glad they are getting the extra time they need especially considering the pandemic.

Also, I said they need to take a look at the studio. I didn’t say they need to fire anyone. I said they need to look at 343 and figure out what they are doing. Whether that is restructuring, adding talent, or who knows what. Carry on.

That is a great 2021. It’s amazing how huge the Zeni deal is for the platform.

I’m surprised how many people think this is a leak, when it was announced for Series in may image

I’d guess Wolfenstein will be 2022 based on the fact it’ll use a lot of motion capture. 2021 will still be a tough year to get things like that done IMO. Still would be one heck of a year with the others you mentioned coming to Game Pass. Not bad for what was supposed to be the last slow 1st party year on Xbox.

Interesting note: I never realized until the buyout that Arkane was two separate studios. Doing a little digging, their next game could be a 2022 release if their cadence holds. Wonder if we could see a teaser next year.

2022 may continue to stack higher.

There needs to be a master list of all games with unlocked framerates on xbox one, so I can try them on xbox series x
