Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

It’s clear now that XGS just isn’t ready to really show their games yet, except maybe The Initiative because Phil was playing it a while ago. But who knows, still might not have been in a representative for general public state.

They have marketing deals on two very promising and exciting multiplatform games, namely Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch_Dogs Legion. The latter actually having raytracing on XSX too. Why not have Ubi make and release a video, specifically mentioning at the start that this is captured on XSX, show off the raytracing, show ACV in all its 4K/60fps glory.

Heh, maybe they’ll do that once they announce ACV is game pass day one. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It’s less than two months before we can get this beast, surely this has to be in the cards now.

Honestly I don’t find that a bad idea at all. Wait for Sony to have had their show. All hype and everything.

Then a few hours later, or right after announce ACV as game pass day one right along with that gameplay video. One mission for example.

I plan on playing Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and XCOM 2 in the next month to prepare for Gears Tactics.

I personally don’t expect a lot of new games to be shown by Xbox 1P before launch. New Game Pass announcements maybe? But it wouldn’t surprise me if those other first party studios will show there games after Xbox Series X | S are in stores. The Initiative at Game Awards? Hellblade, Compulsion Games and others in 2021?

This isn’t based on anything though, just what I think. I could be completely wrong though!

Because of the style of the game, Gears Tactics is not as “Exciting” as Halo or Miles Morales. not to mention that IP Gears Of War is not as popular as Halo or Spider Man etc.

Microsoft and Bungie have held acquisition talks, according to a new report which Eurogamer’s own sources can corroborate.

Speaking on the GamesBeat podcast, Venturebeat’s Jeff Grubb said he had heard Microsoft and Bungie had been in discussions - although the two companies had not been able to agree on a sale price.

I’ve independently heard these talks have taken place, driven on Bungie’s side by a desire to raise new funds for the studio, its projects and staff.

It would certainly be interesting. Keep Destiny multiplat like Minecraft and rake in the cash, new IP is exclusive.

hmmmmmm

Not surprising since it is not cheap to run a 700+ studio and aren’t they currently developing a second game? They probably need funding for that.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if Microsoft ends up being involved with their second project though.

The question is which part is false ? Maybe the acquisition talks are not finished at all. Bungie back to Halo. Here we go!

lol dont quite get the context, is there an inside joke or reference pertaining to this?

A Bungie acquisition would be a waste IMO. Game Pass already has Destiny 2 and new expansions on the service and I imagine MS is going to pay for it to be on there permanently along with future expansions, that’s HUGE for Game Pass

A Bungie acquisition would only be valuable if MS wants to own the Destiny IP and any future IP Bungie makes.

After 4A was bought for 40-50 million, MS could probably by 10 quality studios for less than what it would cost for Bungie.

He is the community manager so he probably just post it for fun and attention for the new Logo with minimalistic changes. Still flexing tho.

People are irrational when it comes to nostalgic. Halo x Bungie would fuel the hype. All I need is a change in the leadership team in 343i. I don’t think the current team will make a great Halo at all.

Lmaooo I forgot about pimps at sea!
