Oh yeah you are probably right. I just know I played it but didn’t buy it hehe. Good little game!
New Super Lucky’s tale is disappointing. Looks like a switch game.
Would have been nice to get one that played like this and looked like the old one.
Are the graphics worse than Super Lucky’s Tale?
Can’t stop praising Hotshot Racing, been playing it for a while and it’s a damn blast. Fantastic atmosphere and soundtrack, perfect handling, and the fact the individual drivers have these little stories (some surprisingly deep, too) is such a welcome addition. Kudos for the customization of vehicles too, so many options. Another brilliant Game Pass get.
Searched on Restera and found this post. You feel it straight away.
Been on a bit of a pinball craze with the games leaving Game Pass Managed to 100% Yoku’s Island Express and now trying to do the same for Creature in the Well.
Both really fun little games and easy to get into not requiring your full attention when it comes to music and dialogue.
@ronabs - your banner image in the OP is triggering my OCD, are you handcrafting the image a section at a time or something?
I was using some artwork from the official website, but I must agree that it wasn’t that good.
Just found another one that suits better.
Wth, that looks really bad in comparison. I thought it would be the other way around…
Yeah me too. It just looks like a switch game.
Bit worried about Dragon Quest now.
Yeah… that would be a bummer.
Well, Drake Hollow was delayed back in july, but got a shadow drop today on Xbox Game Pass for console.
I loved the Drake Hollow beta! I can’t take all these games!
Hypnospace Outlaw is a must play. Not sure how well it’ll control with a controller but it is fantastic.
Is the game similar to “outrun” ? If you’re familiar with that game
It is, actually! You drive fast, drift a lot, and there’s a timer to outpace. Except now there’s also other cars to beat.
Ridiculous last week, got into Don’t starve and Spiritfarer, then people recommended Hypnospace so I got into that as well. All of this before WL3 and Tell me why (after finishing Battletoads last week)
And one more thing, from the $$$ saved I bought The last campfire as well. Friggen awesome week of games.
So I finished Tell Me Why Episode 1 last night and was impressed with this one. I would have never tried this type of game before Game Pass either.
- The characters and building of them is really well done, much better than most video games in my opinion
- Alaska is on my bucket list to visit one day, and the game did a good job of making it look very interesting with the scenery (looks great on my Xbox One X)
- The episodes coming out weekly now is pretty cool to me, and I could see this type of approach to certain content on Game Pass being interesting in the future
Yeah it’s pretty insane lately, I can’t keep up. The best damn thing in gaming.
Ok here’s a long post to get me up to speed.
This year I have played on my day one Xbox one:
Hellbade: Not a fan of horror so wasn’t expecting to enjoy this but it was awesome. Fully onboard for the sequel now.
Streets of rage 4: bounced off it. It annoyed me that I often didn’t know where I was in relation not the enemies.
Rage 2: Finished it. Good dumb fun spoiled by some serious sound issues. Ended up playing the last 20 minutes of the game in total silence.
Life is strange 2 An absolute joy. Brother simulator 2020.
Metro exodus: Disappointed. The story was poor, and the gunplay didn’t feel good. Technically impressive but I didn’t like the art design.
Dmc5: fun but it felt like the best stuff was always happening in the cutscenes. Didn’t finish it.
Red dead 2: I was in the small group of people that really didn’t like the first one but was impressed by this. That said it was very blurry on the old xbox. A shame it’s leaving the service now. I will buy it for series X later.
The Touryst: looked great and surprisingly fun . 5 hours well spent.
Ori 2: started it but decided to save it to play on the series X
Crosscode: played it for 10 hours so it must be doing something right. The length is a bit off putting. I think its game that I’ll play occasionally. The fact that I can play it Infront of the children helps.
Plague tale innocence: This was awesome. Great graphics, sound design and voice acting. The rat based gameplay was fun.
Halo wars. I have craxy plan to play all 11 halo games in “in universe” chronological order before infinite comes out. This is the first.
Nier automata: I didn’t enjoy it at first but it has really grown on me. Definitely going to play it to the ends.
Carrion, battletoads, spiritfarer, wasteland 3 and especially Tell my why are on my to play list.
I think I’ve more than got my money’s worth.
