I really want to start Spiritfarer but I know it’s going to wreck me.

It can definitely deliver a few gutpunches. Would recommend waiting if you recently experienced a loss.

My three games are Doom Eternal, Dragon Quest XIS, and Yakuza 0. I had already played the latter 2 on my PS4 but they’re so damn good I had to buy them again on Xbox!

On the bright side, this tells me EA Play for console probably isn’t going anytime soon.

That’s exactly what I got from this

Microsoft needs to put a big casual game into Game Pass day one, a big multiplat game at launch and have a big marketing campaign around it. I keep seeing people not know what it is or how good it is. They need something like COD day 1, I know that would be a MASSIVE cost but it would be a 1 off and I think it would bring so much awareness to Game Pass.

They can get it on Game Pass day 1 for 3 months or something like that and get back the marketing rights for the game thrown in.

For example Black Ops 3 sold 7.3m units on XB1 which is around 442m @ $60 each. Give Activision something like 250M to have the next call of duty in Game Pass for 3 months. Napkin math and I have no idea how any of it all works, but I think to crack that last nut of getting people on Game Pass they need something big like that.

I really don’t see that happening, or being worth the cost. Activision have yet to put any games of theirs on the service, and even their discounts on digital sales aren’t as good as other publishers. I just don’t see them playing ball.

I’d also say the likes of Halo, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout being in that ballpark of being a big release that more casual gamers are aware of and could make a similar impact. It’s just a matter of patience.

I’ve had a quick dabble with Dirt 5 since it was added. I’m using the Hgher Frsmrste mode and it’s so smooth. Gameplay is pretty decent too. Should tide me over until we get FH5.

Yeah it’s fine. But something is really off with there contrast. Some colours look way oversaturated while other are totally bland. I thought that this is maybe due to the tonemapping in the YouTube videos but seeing it for myself in HDR unfortunately it is not better. Don’t understand why the developers do not see this but oh well. Other than that it’s fine.

I don’t remember al of them, so I’ll just say from my recent memory:

Superhot

Call of the Sea

Crackdown 3

He is everywhere…

… everywhere.

But I really wouldn’t have played that game otherwise. I’ve already said on this board that I don’t want another one and I understand critics it got, but I liked it as some mindless fun.

BTW when can we expect a new batch of gamepass games?

Sooner rather than latter yeah, maybe by Wednesday we will be the thirth of the month, which is the time I expect the first batch announcement.

Yeah. First March 2020 line-up was announced 5th March, so probably this week. What I like about the way they announce them is that there’s usually only a couple of days to wait for the batch that they announce. So announced by Wednesday, then out by Friday…or similar.

100% The gunplay is one the best. The story was weak but so is Doom’s. Problem for me was the shortness and bugginess. The use mtx didn’t help either. But those 8 hours were fun as hell.

That usually means we get new games announced tomorrow.

Now that the Halo show is on Paramount+, what are the odds that Gamepass Ultimate would include P+ as a perk once the show debuts in 2022?

Making it a temporary perk throughout the run of the show makes sense to me, but of course the feasibility of that is another issue entirely.
