No. It’s supposed to go up at 9AM Pacific Time.

It’s weird that the last case of Benedict Fox is not on the xbox store yet. I should be able to install it quickly though
So I “finished” Hollow knight on gp recently and just wanted to leave my thoughts on here. It’s a great Metroidvania if you like exploration and combat. It really shines in those aspects. The platforming is ranging from okay to really frustrating but there’s not much of it.
The lore and environmental storytelling is phenomenal. I really want a mature animated show about the world of HK. The characters in the game, the atmosphere, the world building. It’s amazing.
After I finished the game I stumbled upon your review @Doncabesa and read it. It was funny how accurate your review was. The amount of traversal and disorientation in the game really are frustrating and the beginning hours are a CHORE. I’m not that big into exploration so it took me 4 tries until I actually played the game for more than an hour.
Also, the HK-community is super defensive of the game. Kinda toxic even. Jessies Review was super positive and the criticism was valid and it got a lot of hate on YT. Jees.
I also read about how similiar Ori ist to HK constantly for years and how Ori copied HK. After playing both games (about 40hrs in HK) I can say that these two games couldn’t be further appart from another.
Enjoyed it a lot, was annoyed a lot as well. Looking forward to silk song.
Besiege (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available now Besiege has made a return to the Game Pass library with its full release! Besiege is a physics building game where you construct war machines to obliterate fortresses, annihilate legions of soldiers, navigate hazards, and solve physics puzzles.
Leaving May 15

- Hearts of Iron IV (PC)
- Her Story (PC)
- Umurangi Generation: Special Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
My deletion was getting Weird West and Evil West confused. Ah well.
Some fanbases are weird like that
Some games you simply can’t criticise without some fanboys coming for you, it happens constantly with TLOU and From games
Iv only put a few hours into HK myself, I think it’s good but nowhere near what people claim it to be so far and a lot of it does feel like a chore so far, I completely agree on that
This was almost exactly my experience and takeaway except it finally clicked on the third try for me. It really does take a while to find your groove, and I think it took too long to get your first real movement upgrade. I’ll have to check out the review.
It’s true, and it’s a crying shame that that sort of idiocy can taint someone’s perception of the actual game. It’s not easy to decouple those things, especially when you’re encountering the resistance because you’re already frustrated and are looking for validation or reassurance online.
I wish there were a website like Before I Play that were more in the vein of “Is This For Me?” that would draw parallels from different games and optionally have things like “If you get to this point and you’re still not into it just drop it” While I’m wishing for things, it could even take average playtime into account and count that against the Steam return window or whatever!
For what it’s worth, I felt the same way and I did end up enjoying it a lot. I wish I remembered the point where it clicked, it was probably after getting a few upgrades under my belt. I hope you like it but your time is precious so don’t beat your head against a wall
Regarding the GP drop, Ravenlok looks cool and I enjoyed Echo Generation. Weird West was fun but I don’t know how much of that is due to my exploiting a glitch to get essentially infinite money. Probably been patched by now
Two games? Aight.
Nice I didn’t know game pass was getting Fuga 2. Really enjoyed the first one.
We already had Weird West, it’s the UE now. I guess it wasn’t? Otherwise you could technically say it’s three games, four actually since Redfall was also part of first half of May.
But just like previous month, they have clearly cut down the amount. Some say they go for quality over quantity but I find that subjective.
Need to play Umurangi. Looks like an easy and fast completion.
It can be done in 2-3 hours from what I remember. It’s pretty janky but has a very cool, unique vibe, and a nice soundtrack, that outweighs it.
I wonder if Werid West will get a free upgrade if you bought the original version. I bought it a while back on sale.
Devolver said they would give details about the Definitive Edition next week. Probably when the games out since it releases on Monday.

Oooh nice, this one really caught my eye!
Unfortunately some of the games to look forward to hitting Game Pass have turned out to not be super great. Redfall, Benedict Fox and Ravenlok. I had my doubts about Redfall, but had high hopes for the last two.
Ignoring Cassette Beasts?
