That has very strong Rocket League vibes. Almost looks like it could be a mod.
Played a few hours of Tainted Grail last night and itās a fun game! Got kinda addicted. It feels kinda janky but once you learn how the game works and start unlocking classes it isnāt bad. Good game if you like card based rogue-lites.
I just got a notification in the app that said Far Cry 6 with Game Pass Ultimate when I clicked I saw the gameās page and being downloadable but then I closed the app and didnāt see anything again??!!
Really excited about this. I think these are some of best games suited for Game Pass. Hopefully its good, and that we get more and more of them.
Far Cry 6 and Lost Judgement are free for the weekend for people that have Gold.
this year Xbox Game Pass will be 5 years old. are they preparing something ?
Itās possible. They did shadow drop Halo Infinite Multiplayer with its 20th anniversary, so who to say they wonāt do anything.
When is the date for 5th year anniversary?
Depends on what you count. Game Pass first went live on February 28th, 2017. But only to some Xbox Insider members. Then on May 24th it opened up further to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. And finally it went fully live on June 1st for the general public.
If Xbox does choose to celebrate the five year milestone, Iām guessing theyāre going to use the June 1st date.
So basically E3 week
Maybe there will be some May event?
The idea of a 5-year anniversary Game Pass event sounds good, but Iām not entirely sure what they could do that would be appropriate.
I guess launching some major games on the service, or introduce some neat perks, but those sound like things they already do and while Iād appreciate even more stuff, it doesnāt have a particularly celebratory vibe.
One intriguing thing could be to have some kind of massive free-to-play event over the course of a few days. One where itās not just a game or two, but the entire Game Pass service. That should be enough to generate some headlines, and maybe would end up securing a bunch of new subscribers who get to try it out with no hoops what-so-ever. Cause even the $1 for a month deal requires some hoops. Iām talking an even that would just be accessible to anyone with an Xbox.
The question is, could the existing Game Pass infrastructure support such a thing, or would it be a massive shit show?
Anyone else have any appropriately celebratory 5-year anniversary ideas?
With the ID@Xbox Anniversary they announced ID@Azure. Unless they announce something for developers again im not really sure what theyād do. Itās hardly related to Game Pass but maybe itās when theyāll finally release Goldeneye lol.
They could show off new hardware that lets more people play than ever beforeā¢
They could announce the expansion of cloud gaming to our entire libraries, regardless of the gameās presence in GP.
They could announce a family plan.
They could kill Gold. (misread this as God when I was proof-reading lol)
They could announce a new pipeline of indie games that are fully funded by Game Pass and are exclusive to the service.
They could announce the expansion of Game Pass to competing hardware.
They could do massive dump of all compatible Activision-Blizzard games on the service that day.
They could announce a community-based app that lets users discuss games and scrapes data from Meta and OpenCritic and howlongtobeat
Hope they donāt do any of the bad ones!
Ooooh⦠In light of the hardware rumours floating around, and considering the anniversary falls around the traditional E3 timeframe, this one seems quite likely. Or at least reasonably realistic.
Yes, please.
Yes. When sParTaCus goes live would be a good time.
Gamepass is 5 years old? Damn, where does the time go? I feel like gamepass really hit itās stride in 2019/2020 though. I first subscribed in 2019.
Same here, I hopped on for a Gears 5 I believe.
I love slay the spire, but canāt really get into this. I donāt fully understand the mechanics of the game.
