Xbox Game Pass |OT| Our Backlogs Are Doomed

Save your grenades for the Flatback. If you let it run around he can destroy your team, but he’s very susceptible to grenades. He turns over and you can shoot his belly.

Other than that, I agree with what you said. If you are down, it’s also impossible to revive yourself because of so many dinossaurs attacking you and interrupting you.

Been really looking forward to Destroy All Humans. Set the Xbox to download it before I left the house this morning. Will give it a go tonight.

A fun, Mars Attacks! style game that doesn’t take itself seriously & where I get to be the Martian invader, tearing the place up? Yes please. Sounds great!

Did a quick 15 mins in Destroy All Humans this morning through Gamepass to see if it clicked and was worth a playthrough.

It did and it is

Seams to me Sony’s strategy is get people to sub to PS plus. I don’t think they play on a gamepass competitor. They have 48 million subs(correct right?). They are pouring money into getting games on ps plus. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the huge games launching into gamepass this year also launch into ps plus.

It’s a decent strategy because I think if they went the gamepass route they would loose. Not enough studios, not enough budget to get the third party content, they also arnt on pc and don’t have the whole cloud thing.

Yeah, I don’t think they won’t have a 1:1 Game Pass competitor either, more like what Nick had said about an all-in-one subscription service with PS Plus, anime, TV/movies and maybe music.

For Day One release on PS Plus, I think it will be a bit complicated for big games, since that would mean giving up for free many copies, while Game Pass you can still buy the game.

Doubt this since on PS Plus once you claim it, you have it as long as you keep the subscription while on Game Pass publishers can put the game back into the service for another cheque from Microsoft.

I think we saw the types of games that will debut on PS Plus and that is your more Indie games like Oddworld

Seems very counterintuitive for xbox to allow that. Expect tighter contracts from now on. The Capcom agreement is just a taste of things to come.

Xbox is not rhe platform, gamepass is. Amd any competitive platform releases like Luna, PSnow, Ps plus, Stadia, etc. wiill be delayed or not allowed for some longish period.

The non-stop interrupts were truly one of the most infuriating things and it’s hard to save grenades when one area had at least 12 flatbacks in quick succession and only one reload for use items.

It’s an outdated strategy, the instant after Gold will be dumped, the public will se paying for online so firmly attached to PS strategy very anti-consumer. Imo they are going directly in the lion (MS) mouth pumping PS+ instead of PSNow. Peope nowadays wants wide range subscriptions, not paying for online with perks.

Oh I hadn’t thought about it like that. When Gold is dropped PS+ will look like shit in comparison.

Long term plan vs short term squeezing every ounce of juice.

It’s also worse in the sense that a new PS5 consumer doesn’t have access to the previous catalogue that was made available in the service. If I buy a PS5 later this year, I don’t have any game that released on Plus in all the previous months…

“So, you wanna play Destruction All Stars that released last month on Plus?”

“I don’t have that game, I only got my PS5 with Plus this week…”

Gold suffers from the same issues, of course, but that one is being phased out…

Yeah, Gold and Plus are relics from another era, adding perks to them imo is not a really forward thinking strategy.

I have it installed on my PC but I haven’t tried it

I’ve read that it has some bugs. That was pretty close to release though, maybe they’ve been fixed or were overblown.

Its a cool puzzle game if you are drunk or high.
