Excited to watch. I love long form stuff.

I think it stared a few months into April. I’m not 100% mind you. I’m just going to check my rewards progress now and will come back to you.

Is it these ones your are referring to?

Yeah, the first one in particular. Considering that we’re 22 days into the month I figure I’d have 44/45, and perhaps I’ve missed a day or two, or a task or two, I should be higher than 31.

I have been doing very consistently as well so maybe they reset late? I didn’t play close attention to the rollover :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m at 34 for the dailies without missing any so it must have started on the 6th. (Tuesday as usual)

Then it runs for ~4 weeks, so you’ve got until 3rd May then it starts again on Tues 4th May.

You have to be online to watch it, so don’t worry about it

Thanks for the answers everyone! I’m still learning the ins and outs of the Gamepass MS rewards program.

If I can find the right avenue (probably in the app itself) I’m going to give some feedback on including the days remaining for certain challenges. Come to think of it, I think thats there for the Xbox version of the app (I saw it for the weekly challenges).

you know it funny but looking at google trends for xbox game pass is higher which is what is sustaining the momentum and getting them almost five million in like three months.

Hmmmmmm…

Meme Think GIF

So there does appear to be an internal target just as we suspected. If Game Pass really does explode, I think Microsoft could reach that by the end of next year. Much more realistically would probably be the end of 2023 I reckon.

Yeah, end of 2022, most likely? I didn’t want it to take so long, because dropping Gold would be such a great PR win and it’d put pressure on Sony to do the same, benefitting all gamers.

Paid online is a relic of the past. Drop it.

Indeed. Heck, when Xbox first party has lined up the ship and start firing the broadsides in 2022-23 I would be surprised if it doesn’t go way beyond 50 mil.

You would have to hate both games and money to not sub.

When they create the Cloud only tier and bring cloud enabled games to Game Pass PC (with the rumored new Microsoft Store)… there is a lot growth opportunities (and of course the consoles)

2022 is a good target for 50M subs

I think it will be at 32-35 million by the end of the year. So ya I guess 50 by the end of 2022 is possible, but I’ll guess mid 2023.

That’s about the time I suspect they would drop gold. Imagine the PR win with Sony and Nintendo charging for it and Microsoft not. That would be crazy since Microsoft was the first of the three to have paid online.

I mean, we had 5 million subscribers in little more than 3 months, with no major first-party game releasing in this first quarter. I can only expect it to accelerate when the first-party heavy-hitters start dropping. This year Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Starfield, and who knows what else in 2022 from Bethesda and XGS. And even 3rd party AAA day one deals, which we all know is a possibility now.
