Well, I like your enthusiasm. I just think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you’re expecting multiple things to be announced that aren’t related to what’s been announced already.

Agreed, i was a bit disappointed about how they showed FM on 2022’s E3, but if they show it just like they did with FM7, it should be there with Hellblade 2 as the most impressive graphics shown from a game so far 
+1, and i guess like 1-2 gamepass surprises too as per usual, Jeff said the hifi rush game would be shown or talked about so i expect it to be there most likely, but nothing else and it’s fine, the show should be about Redfall and FM and their dates basically, it’s not like this is the only show from MS this year, next step will be Starfield and the big announcements for E3 (which i hope it’ll be in-person)
The biggest possible surprise for me on this developer direct would be a March date for either Redfall or FM, it’s not likely and no big deal if it’s April and May, but who knows.

I’m expecting to be wowed by Forza.
Elder Scrolls Online isn’t something I care about. Minecraft will get played by me and my kid but otherwise I’m ‘meh’ about it. Redfall is interesting but I view that as a smaller title and more of a Gamepass perk.
Nothing saying that surprises means it has to be additional stuff shown, it could mean surprises about the 4 specific things they have listed. Like surprise, this is coming out really soon, or surprise, Redfall also has aliens.
I want to see more as much as the next person, but stop hyping yourself over nothing and complaining about being let down.

Forzasport needs to be good and we don’t need PC footage but we really need to see how it looks and runs on a Series X. This should be the Series X 12 teraflop and raytracing showcase.

What would be perfect is them ending the show with “Starfield Direct coming (date)” and that’s it. Not necessarily a teaser or trailer, just that.
It will keep them in the gaming news media for at least this whole week, in the positive news that is. Sure, they can announce it end of this month or early February too, but ending the show with it would be better.
No expectations though.

HONESTLY, if i’m MS, i’m releasing my games on both XSX and PC, i would show Forza, and pretty much all my games on a high end PC, every company uses some “tricks” when showing their games, we just saw with Forspoken, also in the recent past with Horizon:FW, also it’s not like right now, the difference between XSX and a high end PC is huge, other than obviously the framerate (unless this FM doesn’t have a 30 FPS option ofc)
That would be another nice surprise for me, no need for an exact data, just a “see you next month on our Starfield show”, that would be awesome already, we’ll see, we’ll see, just 2 days more

Okay, mate even I think your grasping for straws. I dont expect to see Fable or Avowed at the direct. A few game pass announcements, maybe the reveal of Hi-Fi Rish, and Gamepass Family Plan is all I predict. This isnt going to be as big as a E3 event.

Lol. Anyone who thinks the internet won’t be full of people complaining about a lack of a Hellblade 2 date, Fable gameplay and a Perfect Dark shadow drop is setting themselves up to be even more disappointed then those people!
