Xbox Developer_Direct Showcase coming January 25th. Redfall, Forza Motorsport, ESO, and Minecraft Legends. Starfield show in the works

The same way as always, 343 streams. Just like playground, zenimax online etc. are still doing their streams.

Particularly big announcements regarding infinite will show up at these developer directs, though.

Isnt The Elder Scrolls Online part of the developer direct?

It is but I agree with Jess in that it will probably be a trailer, because they have their own stream just after.

Yeah, I meant to convey that they will still do their own streams while showing up at Developer Directs.

I would love for Starfield to come out before July. However after looking over the road map for Team Xbox. It is very packed. If ESO is giving us an update in January then the next expansion is right around the corner and they could release before June. Bethesda Softworks studios are really cooking and giving us a lot of before July, Ghostwire Tokyo, Redfall, ESO expansion are all coming. Xbox Game Studios is giving us Age of Empires 2 for console, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport. Plus we have the day 1 game pass games coming. Plus dlc/expansions for other XBS games. That is a lot already. Time will tell.

xbox has no issue at all releasing games close together. moreover, microsft’s fiscal year ends in june, so releasing in june would be pretty timely.

So let me get this straight

We have issues if Starfield isn’t released before June

And we also have issues if Starfield is released before June

Just wow :expressionless:

Honestly, MS is clearly fine with mincraft legends, redfall, forza motosport, and starfield releasing in the first half of the year or they wouldn’t have planned to release those games in the first half of the year. If of those games are pushed back it’s because they need more time, not “scheduling issues”

I agree with that. If they want Starfield on their yearly financial records they will push it for June. Also I for Fallout 4 gets a next gen update

Also the fact that this show for Starfield is coming in the first half, that’s for a reason. If a delay was coming, a big one that is, then I don’t think a second deep dive is necessary so early on. Keep that for E3 or close to it like a after show. We know one is in the works, we just gotta wait and see when they announce it.

It’s more important for Starfield to launch in good shape. It doesn’t matter if that’s first half, second half, or next year.

Imo starfield releases in the june-September period

Everyone has issues, except Xbox and Microsoft who are just doing profit records all the time…

I think Starfield will release when it’s ready.

Which I happen to think will be soon, my guess is a week or two after E3.

Yeah, I’m not leaning towards April anymore as I did recently. Whatever the case I really hope Xbox managed to get all three big games out, obviously only if they are in a good enough state. Not only will we Xboxers be eating like kings with two new IP and a well established and beloved racing game, it would also look damn good for Xbox overall. Them delivering on it. Good for the optics, I guess.

From there on out we can get this party started with maybe Hellblade 2 at the end of this year? Although Jez recently said this was being very optimistic, or something along those lines.

Xbox are going for a 2017-style Nintendo approach this year, and it will work.

Big games are given some breathing room, suplemented with some small things are Game Pass drops.

If you look at it, it’s a monthly thing, which is why it is so exciting they’re changing their communication approach as well; we have all been waiting for the beast to awake, and now that it is we should sit back and enjoy the rid,e no matter the games or the order they release in, as we all know they’re coming.

Very unlikely but how I would run the show.

All with confirmed release dates.

1st - Stalker 2 (4 mins)

2nd - Minecraft Legends (6 mins)

3rd - Montage of games recently added to GP. High on Life, Personna 3, 4, 5, Monster Hunter, ending with AoE2 (3 mins)

4th - ESO (3 mins deeper dive after the show)

5th - Forza (8 mins)

6th - Ghostwire Tokyo (2 mins (if possible)

7th - 007 Golden Eye (2mins)

8th - GP family plan (2 mins)

9th - second GP montage of upcoming games, Atomic Heart, Wo Long, AoM remake, Silksong etc (3 mins)

10th - Redfall (8mins)

11th - Recap montage & thanks for joining (2mins)

Run time 43 min. Maybe swap a few things around but id certainly do something with the third party day one GP games.

I would be disappointed if the show would be something like this.

They called it developer direct, so I’m expecting some deep dives by the developers for their new games.

Stalker 2 just released a trailer, they don’t need a trailer here, especially since it’s not coming in the next few months

I’d keep those dives short and sweet, if someone isn’t into Forza they’d turn off if it went on for 15 mins and miss the other games.

I guess on the flip side if someone was into Forza they’d want longer.
