You realize that the studio doesn’t just stop working on the game while waiting for the deal to be done right? If Tom is seeing footage showing a character in 3rd person camera, that means it’s gameplay he is seeing. this is something that will come sooner than DS2.

I would do the opposite. I WOULD give it to Keighley and Summer Game Fest. Audience is FAR bigger and you know a lot of PlayStation fans will be watching so come on, the aftermath kind of writes itself. lmao

Looking it up, you’re right. I always thought it was bigger but it’s not. In this case, Xbox showcase makes more sense. I hope it doesn’t end the showcase though if it’s being revealed. I personally would have it open the showcase.

So many factors at plus going against SGF (competing showcases, no awards, comes off confusing because of inclusion of other showcases, etc.)

My conspiracy theory has always been Kojima+Tango making Silent Hills for Xbox. Think about it…Silent Hills is plural, we had heard Kojima was making a horror anthology series of smaller titles, which would be perfect for experimenting with cloud tech/design. Hell, even a working title of Overdose could be a fun play on the fact that there are apparently two other SH games being made right now. The SH rumors also line up nicely with the idea there is a smaller scale project (Kojima’s entries into the anthology would be small scale individually).
Been saying this literally for yrs. I bet we get a brief gameplay tease at Xbox showcase, but with working title Overdose, then at TGA’s we get full gameplay demo/trailer/name reveal (Silent Hills) and even a playable teaser.

This would be awesome. I just can’t see Kojima wanting to do anything that’s related with Konami and I believe he just stays with new IP’s.
