Thats 1 game i can read through messages while its being shown.
Would kinda amazing if true. Biggest blunder is the creator not knowing that As Dusk Falls is being shown of the day before at Tribeca games fest.
However if they say âtune in to Xboxâs showcase tomo for a full revealâ my eyebrows will be raised.
Problem with âleaksâ like this is that there is always likely to be something shown that we donât know about. But this entirely list is what everyone and me have discussed on podcasts for the last 6 months lol.
Almost no third-party games and no names for the unannounced games, most certainly fake.
At first glance I thought this was Steve Irwin, had to look twice.
Agree. Although Iâm definitely in favour of the show being mostly first party stuff.
Not a leak, just something I thought of.
I can see a gameplay trailer for Diablo IV with a 2023 release year at the end of the trailer and be day one on Game Pass with Diablo 2 Resurrected and Diablo 3 Eternal Collection dropping on Game Pass after the show or later in June.
Thoughts???
He also says that there will be some [on the spawncast] who wonât like the art or direction. But he outright says heâs very excited for it.
I have heard the art style is very The Outer Worlds and maybe a bit of Immortals Fenyx Rising in terms of color palette
The game is gonna be pretty colorful I think. Both of the Pillars games, especially Deadfire used a lot of colors for the environments. It helped that it was an isometric game but my only wish for Avowedâs art direction is that the whole game isnât a shade of green like Fallout 3.
However, they need to nail the lighting and other visual effects. Yâall remember that video that had rebuilt the Helgen Watchtower in UE5 and compared it to Skyrim right? If you showed me the UE5 gameplay I would have never guessed that it was Skyrim because the lighting and visual effects had been non-existent. Such an iconic part of Skyrim is the filters and lighting that make the whole place has a certain chill to it. But when you take that away, some of the immersion is compromised.
In Pillars, the Living Lands are described as
A land of wild weather, strange beasts, and hundreds of difficult-to-reach valleys containing oddities never before seen by mortals.
I think that Avowed should strike a balance between a great art style that channels the first games and also environmental lighting that fits the setting and map. And this is something I have full confidence in Obsidian to deliver on.
Someone just looked into twitter wishful thinking and made a list.
Contraband 2022 believe
Yes seems like the gameâs art Will be very different from what many of us expected.
Jez already compared it to the outer worlds last year and said he was really surprised by how different It looked to the CGI.
I wouldnât understand why did they show such a Dark trailer to then delivery a very colourful Game, i kinda expected some darker Elder scrolls.
Anyways just 5 days to see It. Hope itâs not too similar to TOW tho
Yeh that is what Nate is implying I think.
The tone of PoE is pretty dark, but it might be the case that the team really want to emphasise colour in the game as a juxtaposition, but people might be expecting lots of greys, browns and blacks.
I think Jez said recently that it looks like less colorful Outer World visually.
Fake. Aside not knowing the names of the games, it does not have Ark 2 there.
Im interested to see how Obsidian manage to step up Avowed up visually. Their games have never been lookers (though ToW wasnt bad), but they have a lot going for them this time, big budget, more time and current gen exclusive. Just hoping they manage to up the games visuals as that will draw a big crowd into Obsidian games that they normally couldnât.
That first Avowed trailer will end up looking very dumb and misleading if the game actually looks super colourful and vibrant and yeah, I can see people being disappointed it it looks more like Outer Worlds than Skyrim
Well there are rumors of underground cities soâŚIt is dark underground
