Well last year they announced all of the games you would be playing in 2021, and they still released a ton of new stuff in the second half like MK11, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas DE, Among Us and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 to name a few.

This fucking tweet. How are people this ridiculous? Or more like lacking braincells.

Also, why do you bother with this nobodies?

I don’t mean to offend you but these people simply write these kind of tweets just to trigger others ( in this case you)

They are simply attention seekers and best thing to do is ignore their tweets completely

  • No seamless flying

Which I have zero problem with

Anyone who wants to be able to avoid any kind of fast traveling light speed sort of mechanic and just take off from a planet and free fly to another one either lacks any sort of basic understanding, or just has no respect for how damn long that would take

I wonder if people will start to complain about the showcases when Xbox will start showing COD there :joy:

Sure, but some Sony fans are mad because they have to pay $70 bucks, meanwhile Xbox fans will played this game day one on gamepass.

A take off is minutes long. Its probably not in the game because you would need atmospheric flight simulation which is very different to slingshotting around planets or other space objects.

So, I had few days to think about it and I have mixed feelings about the presentation.

In one way, I think its great that we got a showcase and some small titles have got a big stage reveals and more people will watch it. I thought it had good amount of games, no big shocks but it was decent.

I didnt think we needed to be kept dry for this long with news for a big presentation like this. I kind of wish we got gradual drops of news with all these games.

The best game for me was High on life. This was soo weird, I really want to see how it pans out.

I suspect something like AOE for console might be possible

There will be Gamescom and XBOX Is going to have some presence there. Germany Is the land of RTS so i suspect we’ll see Aoe4 console version and Age of mythology definitive edition and maybe some info about future of the Age of Empires series.

Yep but also cuz seamless flying is a “cool” novelty for the first 5 to 10 times, then it gets painfully fucking annoying to get through, just like opening every drawer or sitting down to pick a pocket every time in RDR2. I’m glad that isn’t something they chose to put any resources into cuz it’s really not that integral to an RPG imo. NMS does it, great, but NMS is also aiming for very different things.

I agree, its not really integral for an RPG. Bethesda sees it the same way.

Its naturally in NMS because the whole game is procedurally done and landing and flying was in there from the start design wise. Most tech demos for procedurally done space start that way (Youtube is full of them).

I always liked it in Frontier, starting from New York and flying directly to space was awesome and absolutely mindblowing on the Amiga. And you could always land with the landing computer if you didn’t like this stuff. But Frontier is a real space sim, Starfield and No Mans Sky are not.
