Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase announced for Sunday June 12 at 10 a.m. PT + Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 14th at 10am PT (Spoiler Free)

I can see them opening with Starfield deep dive, but indeed no way in hell it’s the “one last thing”.

IMO Redfall should open, Starfield should be in the middle, and Avowed should close,

Nah I want to see a lot of things coming next year.

100%. Needs to be either unexpected gameplay, eg Fable, Perfect Dark, Indy Or something no one knows about at all.

We don’t know the full story. But absolutely massive fail on MS and Sony’s part tbh. More so MS. DOA is one of your franchises that defined you back in the day. I won’t forget all those hours I spent playing DOA3 on xbox launch day…more so than Halo.

Unless of course MS are doing a deal for Ninja Gaiden 4 and could only do 1…i’d go for NG any day of the week.

So what? oh no some boobs! jesus fucking chirst what has happened to this sensitive world. They could control the DLC and over sexualisation anyway if they wanted to

Go and play DOA6 on Series X. It runs absolutely incredibly well and with native 4K. Looks absolutely amazing

Now My fav Fighting game last gen was Tekken 7…but Tekken 7 looks like dogshit on Series X(720p blurry crap). DOA6 still has an incredibly fun fighting mechanic and look gorgeous. And there free to play version to try out.

DOA can still be relevant.

Imagine DOA7 Exclusive to Xbox and coming to Gamepass…that’s a huge userbase from the get go…won’t die out like a lot of fighters. MS should have gotten KOF15. They can still try and get that game.

It at least got the Windows Store version so it’s “Game Pass ready”. Maybe at the showcase…?

Hopefully. I love the game and if it does go to gamepass I’ll jump back on the MP to get those achievements. KOF15 is an insanely fun game, I still play it occasionally. IT might be the only fighting game I’ve played where I like to play as more than a handful of characters. The Team system is really neat.

And while were on fighters…Namco should make Tekken Tag 3 asap.

I think we should consider the possibility that Namco making Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo has set unrealistic expectations for other Japanese fighting franchises. How many copies did Switch Smash sell? What is the cut Namco gets from Nintendo?

I love Tekken and I would put it on my Mount Rushmore of fighting games. That said the amount of disrespect gamers give Dead or Alive is ridiculous. It’s second only to Mortal Kombat in my opinion. And I much prefer the speed and style of Dead or Alive compared to Tekken.

  1. Mortal Kombat

  2. Dead or Alive

  3. Soul Calibur

  4. Tekken

Xbox needs fighting games. I expect at least Killer Instinct to make a return this E3. I’m excited about that. It feels like a good time to announce it at this showcase.

People don’t get the idea behind ‘one last thing’

It couldn’t be something which is already announced officially… No point in making it one more thing

It has to be either a surprise release date of a big game this year or a completely new game announcement

c’mon stop it lol. A main selling point of the games always were the ridiculously over sexed characters. I remember a mechanic in one of them that let you use the gyro in the dualshock to bounce the chars boobs lol. It’s not about being sensitive. It’s just dumb lol. People fighting to their deaths in bikinis

To stay on topic, I wouldn’t wanna see that on an xbox show case. Gaming has matured too much.

I think that was actually Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Though I assume DOA had it too.

Nonetheless if DOA was ever announced on an Xbox showcase I highly doubt that’s the feature that would be highlighted lmao.

DOA is not “just” booba. People do enjoy the gameplay, the marketing doesn’t focus solely on that. DOA6 tried to even not have that in the marketing at all.

May as well say Xbox shouldn’t show Mortal Kombat because it’s “just senseless violent fatalities”

That depends on if any 2032 game is coming out in Jan or Feb 2023, if its May, June or July 2023 then it becomes over a years wait.

They will at a minimum highlight games coming between now and next E3. E3 has never been a show strictly about gaming coming in the next 6 months, I don’t know why we’d expect that now. Especially when they don’t have much.

Yep.

Also I personally wouldn’t mind seeing announcements for 2024 games. I think that it will be nice to have a roadmap for all the major studios, I’d like to know what id, Arkane Lyon or Tango are working on even if they are releases beyond 2023 but that’s just me. :gimme:

Probably be better than having to go through years of people digging through LinkedIn for information lol

If they are gonna announce something from far away, I think it should be at least some remarkable IP.

I get that, but Forza was shown off in the 1st showcase and we’ve seen the likes of Fable trailer at last years E3 and don’t get why you say they don’t have much, Xbox now got a load of studios .

The PR of XBox needs to be better IMO

I wonder how long Tango’s new game has been in development now. Maybe it’s further along than we think.
