Xbox + Bethesda E3 2021- June 13th @ 10AM PST/1PMEST/6PMBST- Pre-E3 Discussion Thread!

COMPLETELY AGREE. Call it E3 Overtime or something, and that’s where you have developers speak about the game, some live demonstrations, Q&A with people watching, and even some live polls with the audience.

There’s going to be a ton of games with only a 30 second clip shown during E3. You can get into those games, give them 3 minutes to get people to fall in love with their game. Sort of like what the id@xbox event did.

Turn the two hour E3 showcase into a day long day of fun.

Bingo! People would be far more forgiving to a slower paced demo if it’s not part of the overall showcase. I hope they go this route someday.

This would absolutely be ideal as a call back have staten on stage playing the game

where is the hype train pic and why am i not in it

Just 10 days to the event, so close yet so far away still

So I just saw the Halo 5 E3 demo pop up in my recommend and was wondering what you guys think about the Infinite demo pretty much copying this demo. I would maybe give MP some more time at the end but this demo would be a great demo for Infinite. Some cutscenes, gameplay and MP info, I feel like this could be a great template for Infinite. Throw in another 4-8mins for MP and it would be a sound showing.

I still think they will want to spread stuff out a bit to build up to launch so who knows.

It being on the x1 won’t make series x/s version not “next gen”.

E3 trailer I guess? Although according to Grubb getting E3 assets ready takes months, and we’re little more than a week away from E3.

I always watch the raw stream first normally with friends at the house or in the discord / party chat

I do the same but still more excited for the mp. With every shooter I do this its normal

Editing will most likely happen right up until a few days before E3, for all we know this is just them talking in a interview might have nothing to do with the actual gameplay footage or w/e

Same, I always play the campaign on legendary with the same freinds since Halo 3, we then play MP after we finish the story.

‘Hey guys, please participate in my poorly worded poll about a hypothetical situation that has zero chance of happening!’

Even bigger question is why even judge the game without knowing how it’s actually working on Xbox one? One should simply wait and watch.

Also, it isn’t like the game will be held back because of xbox one. The game launched on powerful PC platforms first. So everything what makes the good is already in the game.

If anything will be cut down, it will be for xbox one only. Series X won’t be affected by it.

Phew…SCORICHING hot takes this morning

Come on guys, who are those people saying the campaign is not important in Halo? Some people may like multiplayer more. Some may only play multiplayer exclusively. Though I think most know, regardless of personal preference, that for the games overall reception and success it’s better if the campaign gets it’s share of the focus and hype

The few that don’t are objectively wrong and can be ignored. Otherwise it’s like you’re just building up an untrue narrative to take a stand against

I see all those polls wanting more Halo campaign, but multiplayer is fine by me! Can’t wait to see more about it.

10 days left people, 10 days! What will be your ultimate dream game to show up at the conference?

I would argue MP and SP are both equally 50/50 important, if Halo released with just one of those modes and not the other it wouldn’t be a proper Halo game to me, however I would be cool with story expansions too.

If they don’t show campaign, the take will be that MS are hiding something because they know it still isn’t good enough.

…and MP never shows well at e3 anyway.

E3 is DESIGNED for bombastic set pieces.

  1. Choose an internal section of the campaign where the lighting etc can really be shown off - 3-4 mins.
  2. MP , showing a 1-2 minute clip
  3. Discuss the roadmap - 3 mins

10ish minutes total. I don’t want any game taking up more than that.

Then mention a 30 minute deep-dive, state of play style event, later in the week. This is where they can show side-by-side improvements etc. 2.
