Which is precisely my point. If Xbox can find the exact amount of exclusivity which gets people into the ecosystem and still double dip into the multiplatform install base, they will do that.
I can only imagine this will happen with Bethesda games that would cause PR damage from full exclusivity or would result in throwing away years worth of development on a PlayStation.
they should be worried about making dumbass decisions like doubling Gold that DO justify PR damage over those theyâre completely fine and perhaps simply expected to do as the sole owners of said IP, studios and games. The fact that that one went through and this one probably wonât is the discrepancy that needs to dissolve from their identity moving forward. It signals something even worse that a decision as big as that could be reversed within a day. So itâs a testament to the fact that their executive decision making isnât where it needs to be yet across the board making it unreliable for any of us to know what theyâre actually gonna do lol.
Nah, that wonât happen. Just like it did not with Playstation.
It is not Xbox One era anymore. Unlike DRM (lol), Xbox now have GamePass and it releases the games on PC. It has much bigger support among the gaming community nowadays. âHey, acquisitions are badâŚâ âGAMEPASS BABY!!!â. In fact even if MS purchases Ubisoft, just by saying the games are coming to GamePass, people will give applause.
Zenimax Online needs to work on its own new IP (already happening).
Starfield, Fallout and Skyrim should have an integrated multiplayer instead of standalone games (TES: Online and Fallout 76).
I love these sorts of roundtables but you know people be expecting announcements when its just a chat between old timers in the gaming industry. Sucks that Greenberg even has to say a roundtable is not for ânewsâ. But you know even in this forum people will be complainingâŚARGHHHHHH!
