I think everyone is assuming that Shinobi is interpreting the post they’re responding to as
I’m surprised we’re seeing Indy because it’s not coming for a very long time.
Instead of
I’m surprised we’re seeing Indy, it must be coming a lot sooner than expected.
Edit: I’m also not saying I’m right. Honestly, I think I’m most likely wrong. Just that I don’t think it’s a slam dunk like some are treating it.

In the context in which the question is asked I don’t think there is any ambiguity.
The question was phrased as ‘It’s surprising we are seeing Indiana Jones already’ to which he replied ‘if you knew when it’s coming out’ (e.g. very soon) ‘not really’ (as in it’s not a surprise they are showing it now if it’s only releasing in a few months).
Also there’s the fact it’s being squeezed in between 3 other 2024 games.
No. I expect four because they said four. If they show more that’s cool, but I don’t expect it because they didn’t say anything about “and more.”

These pseudo insiders like Shinobi have absolutely no idea about the game’s release date, but now that it’s been announced for DD, they’re like “ha ha if you knew”. Insufferable AW.

He clearly knew about Blade and other reveals before the TGA’s and both him and Henderson seems confident in a 2024 release that other haven’t commented on, he clearly knows some stuff regardless of insufferable or not
Maybe a fifth unannounced thing like HFR last year, not necessarily a shadow drop though but I’m not going in expecting anything but the announced

I mean, it isn’t hard to believe that people in the industry or with contacts in the industry hear things from colleagues. Being smug and douchey about it is lame though.
I work in higher education IT. Late last summer the University of Michigan had a huge data breach. I heard about it well before it became public knowledge because I know people all over the IT landscape in the area.

Of course some of them know a few things, but their game is to make people believe that they are omniscient, which is far from being the case. There’s a lot of bluffing going on.
