Xbox announces Developer_Direct for January 18th - Indiana Jones, Avowed, Hellblade II and more

I think the combat is going to be one of those things where you have to play it to get a feel for whether it’s good or not. I think it looks fine, but admittedly, the combat is the thing I care about least with this game. It’s an Obsidian RPG and I can’t wait to dive into it.

Excellent show. I liked what i saw.

Indy is in very good and capable hands at Machine Games. Can’t wait.

Avowed looks like a Obisidian RPG. Which is absolutely fine and all I ever asked for :+1:

Incredible art

This was a great presentation! No complaints from me and it was cool to see Square crashing the party as well.

Hellblade 2 be a digital only is a choice…

Avowed, Indy, and of course Mana for me. And I’m happy to see they’re carrying out the “keep drilling the JP games” strategy even at Developer Directs lol

I want to see them crashing the party in June again, this time carrying even more goods.

Omg they changed the skill system in ESO. This is the first major changes since Summerset.

I’m curious if this also includes digital release Game Cards in store?! I’ve seen quite a few digital game cards now and wonder when they say digital only, just means not printing boxed blueray discs. I’m honestly been all digital for years now, but this could be eventually every major release.

Haven’t been able to watch much; have they changed the Champion system again? I miss the original Champion system :frowning:

It makes sense, but somewhat disappointing for people that collect physical. For that audience, I wish Microsoft would make a deal with a distributor to distribute their games.

I thought Avowed looked much better than the last showcase, lighting looked much improved, nothing looked out of place. Even Hellblade impressed much more this time round, the last showing was just ok for me.

Indiana Jones looks like a certified banger. With every big game that becomes Xbox exclusive the ps guys keep getting madder, it’s funny to watch.

Indy being a Butcher Bay styled game has me ridiculously excited. I genuinely have no idea why so many are upset its mainly 1st person, its a much more immersive style for me, amd theres still likely to be plenty of occasions you get to see Indy in the game.

It’s called Scribing and allow us to change and modify some skills. This is such a major change since they introduced accessories crafting.

Edit: Every weapon skill can have 3 different kinds of modifications.

Holy shit

They can afford it. It’s probably gonna be a low selling physical anyway but it’s a bad look not to have it from a first party organization and it costs nothing to them.
