No I’m not suggesting that. People seem worried about whether the deal will go through. I just dont see any real concerbs that will stop the deal that Microsoft would not concede if neccessarym who know what theyll agree to, but I just think that Microsoft would accept a lot to close the deal.

As long as isnt something stupid such as letting sony continue with the marketing or exclusive deals then everything fine
If by some chance the ABK acquisition deal with MS falls through the next person that goes to buy them will be able to buy them for a lot cheaper. The reason l say that is because ABK had more stuff happen to them since the deal, so there stock value is worth less and so there is a very real chance they might look to merge with another company to escape getting bought for a lot less.
Good point. If it falls through I hope they merge with EA .
EA offered a merge actually with ABK, ABK was not interested.
Personally rather than thinking about “if the deal fails” let’s think about “what Microsoft will do after the deal”. And what’s gonna happen in an acquisition world.
I think ABK deal is holding off some announcements probably as after ABK deal announcement the only big events we had were Bungie acquisition by Sony and Square Enix West acquisition by Embracer.

They weren’t interested because someone was offering them 68.7 billion in cash. In those circumstances no one would pick the merger. Things change if that is no longer on the table.
Usually companies merge in order to grow further. I am not sure if either EA or ABK benefit from the merge. They would becoome bigger - sure - but I don’t think EA or ABK are able to fill the parts of each other for the future growth.
Haha MS/Xbox still got to sort out that marketing.

I did like one idea - somebody proposed that - if Tsujimoto family wants to stay with Capcom and don’t want to sell due to that - Microsoft can offer CEO a position at Microsoft. Let’s say for the example they will create Microsoft Gaming Asia and put them as a head of it.
But I will laugh loudly if Microsoft ends up acquiring Square Enix. Will literally roll on the floor

plague Tale Requiem looks so stunning. ASOBO Is incredibile and they made and Amazing work with their graphic Engine.
MS should try to take them into Xbox studios. They Will be the new Insomniac.
