Console warring never left, it got worse. You know how much stuff Xbox fans go through on the other era. Its borderline abussive.
Its no wonder that with people treating others like that and Sony buying up rights and working to foreclose Xbox, that there is a deep anger against Sony and its fans.
Its no wonder that there are Xbox fans that want Sonys business to suffer. Personally, I think competition is good and a stronger Xbox leads to stronger competition so I want them to keep acquiring. I dont want sony out of business because that leads to worse consumer outcomes.
I want the current revision of Sony out of business, the one that engages in partial foreclosure tactics. I want a new Sony in business. I think that’s what most folks want.
While I understand your point of view, I personally believe Xbox and Gamepass is where it is based on competing with its past self and not others.

I want Sony to taste reality where they can provide some consumer friendly features and not overpriced consoles, accessories, games and does not rely on remasters and moneyhats.

The problem here is you’re assuming the ones combatting your point are the ones you should be listening to in the first place. Thus strengthening my point.
Anyway, I didn’t mean to derail the topic. I think we all know the console wars are stupid (otherwise you’d probably make it your personality in real life too).
People need to remember business is business, and consumers shouldn’t be taking acquisition deals personally. The only part of this entire thing I care about are the workers getting a decent work environment (I’m a bit biased since I’m on friendly terms with some ABK employees, but I’m sure my sentiment is shared amongst many of you).

I’ve seen some of you discuss acquiring Warhammer or D&D. What do you think of Paradox Interactive which owns the World of Darkness license? Paradox could also be interesting for the return of FASA Interactive games. It could be a (small) interesting acquisition and I don’t hide my interest in a role-playing game in the World of Darkness universe by Obsidian.
I don’t know if SEGA is inevitable, but it would definitely be a great acquisition. It wouldn’t provoke as much reaction as an acquisition of Capcom or Square Enix, but it would make a lot of fans happy. Acquisition or not, SEGA is already part of the family in the hearts of many Xbox gamers.
I am actually curious what has happened with Paradox as it seems like their latest release did not even launch in Windows Store. That hasn’t happened before.
I am not sure. Microsoft went with a strategic alliance + recently Sega Sammy even has acquired some sports team even. Unless Sega Sammy offloads their gaming division, I don’t see Sega acquisition at all. But would they even offload it in the current market where the gaming is growing and Sega gaming is successful.
Id even argue that if Sony remained with marketing that they had to pay for that it would benefit Xbox still. Theyd be funding tons more games or other exclusives

It’s hard to say because we don’t know how a SEGA acquisition would go. Is it about the whole company or the gaming division? I just saw that Namco Bandai also has a Basket Ball team. I imagine that is something common in this kind of company. Off topic: I think these two companies would work pretty well together. I know that won’t happen, but I really wouldn’t mind seeing them merged under Microsoft.
I mean, marketing and exclusive deals are what made several people buy a playstation just for cod, the casual player believe that it is exclusive to sony
And even if they didnt, how are you going to tell them that they can play cod on xbox with gamepass? Through a tweet?
In that scenario gamepass does not have COD probably. The Activision deal is plenty lucrative that it doesnt need COD in gamepass if it comes down to it.
Capcom seems less likely imo. They are literally are having a renaissance and releasing banger after banger. Resident evil 4 and then monster hunter world 2 soon.
Also it seems like Saudi Arabia are snooping around.
