nothing wrong with more, Hunt showdown different gaas game than other, also what wrong with it ? Crysis 4 will have SP and there hope for Ryse 2 if they acquire Crytek.

If Valve wanted to offload their studios and just be a store, they could probably lure in a ton of money with their fps games and studios.
The other top notch developer for fps that people are overlooking is Smilegate.

Nothing wrong with another one. I just think between Contraband, Project Dragon, Monster Hunter Clone, and whatever Zenimax Online and Roundhouse are making Xbox would want to diversify it a little more

Yeah. I can’t see Sony paying billions more than this for Japanese publishers that don’t even come close to the revenue stream Bungie is going to provide for them. Sony just doesn’t have that kind of “fuck you” money. It worked for Microsoft and Bethesda for that reason (and also Bethesda games far outsell all these Japanese games). Sony paying like 8 billion for Capcom or whatever then getting games that typically only sell 2-8 million, and don’t have microtransaction revenue, doesn’t seem like a good deal for them, and the most popular series Monster Hunter would take a popularity hit because PS5 has a very big problem with Japan presence.
That can be said about every exclusive though. Capcom would get console/subscriber sales. I’d buy any console that had Capcom games.
I love Sega but Capcom > all.
I think the Bungie purchase signals PlayStation’s intent to stay out of the realm of publisher acquisitions. It’s a buffet for Xbox at the moment, though I’d rather them bring close independent partners in-house first.

Yeah, secure close studios like IO Interactive, Asobo, Stoic, and Certain Affinity before going after something big again. Cant afford to let them go

Yeah! I know Asobo has said they wanted to remain independent, but Bungie was also super adamant about their independence and well, look at where they are now lmao.

They’d be paying Bethesda level price (or more even) for games that mostly do not sell nearly as well as Bethesda games. (Monster Hunter essentially losing Japan here would be a heavy sales hit for that series too). I can’t see Sony paying for that. MS can do it because fuck you money, but I am keeping the opinion that the JP publishers aren’t getting acquired.
MS are all about preventing Amazon, Netflix, Google, from gaining a seat at the table, especially in creating a XGP rival. By acquiring Bethesda, Acti, they make it harder for these three to carve out a niche.
Based on this, expect MS to go after Take 2 and/or EA. They have about 70bn left to spend, in cash
Take 2/EA being bought by MS fierce rivals is bad news for them.
GTA/Rockstar being on another service, yea MS aint allowing that
I feel like Asobo is a shoe in for MS cuz of the deal for Flight Sim and doesn’t make sense for anyone else to pick them up with that commitment in place.
