A whole lot of “Xbox is buying all the studios whose games I don’t play lul” comments sprinkled through out socials and otherera. Which means they’re heavy into Japanese games so in order for Phil to make those guys rage he needs to complete the puzzle and get a Japanese publisher.
Whichever publisher would trigger the most “I’m done with gaming” posts is who Phil should go after.

I mean…. Some of us in this thread have been calling for Japanese publishers for similar reasons.
Then again, I never thought AB could potentially be on the menu.
Microsoft will never have enough lawyers to get away with that.

There’s no point in targeting fanboys, they would just change the goal post lol. COD is the second most played PS5 game behind Fortnite, Phil couldn’t have got a more impactful franchise.

Im now in the camp that says MS will get Take 2 yea. Rockstar, Fireaxis, the rest, would all get MS to where they need to be

I agree. I can’t see Microsoft stopping making big Xbox acquisition after Activision. It was literally the most expensive Microsoft acquisition ever, it’s clear that Xbox is a big focus for Satya now.

To get XGP out there, you need GTA, you need CoD, you need Elder Scrolls really.
I’m certain there is close to zero chance another publisher gets bought, before Activision closes.

I dunno tbh… surely they would have too much heat if they did a 30 billion dollar move for Take Two. Listen i’m not blasting saying monopoly but aren’t the regulators who are deciding about anti trust meant to become more strict. I imagine 2 groundbreaking acquisitions one after the other would affect Sony’s stock so much that it would cause friction with the deal. Im up for people’s opinions on this matter though.
