i would argue these two would benefit them more

Lots of great data there.

@beastmode10 asked me a couple of months ago to pull together some similar data, and I failed miserably at getting that done. (Sorry, friend - been crazy busy at work). But, I’m very glad someone did the job.

So instead of sexually harrassing them, they’re now just going to straight up ffff…(self censuring)

Idk if people were serious about wizards of the coast, but they would be a good acquisition. They are owned by Hasbro so it’s likely be a purchase of Hasbro if it happened.

It’d make all the transformer fans happy, that’s for sure.

Hasbro is not for sell though.

One thing that people don’t think about much is that a Capcom acquisition is the RE engine, the black magic engine itself would be owned by MS.

The engine can pump incredible graphics while still maintaining great performance.

SEGA makes more sense and strategically, Capcom more quality and core audience, would also generate the most salt possible.

Imagine Microsoft buys two publishers in Japan (Sega and Capcom), like they bought two Western publishers (Activision Blizzard and Zenimax) :eyes:

The bit about the board targeting casual and mobile gamers worries me when it comes to Japanese pubs. Do any really fit the definition?

The Pokémon company. :doge:

But seriously for mobile I would say Square.

i wonder why hasbro would sell wizards of the coast when they recently started investing in game studios

twitter will be on fire if xbox announces capcom n square are acquired lol

I agree - both Sega and Capcom provide more variety in equally large IP’s IMO.

Apart from Square Enix Europe I don’t get the appeal with SE as a whole. Do they really want Final Fantasy when they have Blizzard? They would have to keep Final Fantasy multiplatform as PS have the playerbase.

That was after the Zenimax deal was finalized. If Phil were to be asked again, I am sure he will target whatever is missing in their portfolio.

SE mobile is very strong. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Record Keeper are money maker. Used to play Brave Exvius a little bit. Power creep is very hard to keep up with and they release new units every week which can change the meta. Basically pay 2 win.

SE Europe is a bad buy if you see it on the strategic side, you only cheapen SE Japan so that Sony has FF cheaper and can buy them easily. If you want SE Europe better buy SE whole
