They are an independent developer in the UK and made Disco Elysium.

I also would love to see Square in it’s entirety, but Kingdom Hearts it’s completely owned by Disney actually. And Dragon Quest is owned by 3 company’s if I remember right. Square, Bird Studio (Akira Toriyama) and Armor Project (Yuji Horii, DQ creator).

I kind of doubt they would acquire Remedy Entertainment. Remedy have already signed deals for multiple new games.

They’ve signed a deal with 505 Games (publisher) to make a Control multiplayer sort of game.

They’ve also signed a deal with Epic Games to make two more games.

One of the studios that no one is really talking about for acquisition anymore is Studio Wildcard. Xbox is working with them in some capacity to make Ark 2 a reality and they have a great relationship, history, it does well on gamepass and is one of those living service games, they also are based in their favorite place in the world, Seattle.

I touched on them in the old thread:

I was looking to see what Studio Wildcard has been up to since we haven’t seen any followups on Ark 2 since last December and they looked to have a friendly relationship with Xbox. However their parent company is SDE Inc that’s an affiliate company of Snail Games USA which is the American branch of the Chinese video game company Snail Games. So in the end it seems they’re bit too large and geolocation complications likely means not an acquisition target.

O’ell, as long as they remain on friendly terms and partnerships it’s alright.

One of the epic games was alan wake remastered btw

You really don’t want to go down this road… there’s literally a dozen posts I could dig up that prove otherwise

About the acquistions i think MS will buy?

Or the release dates as to when everything is coming out?

All up in the air.

I recall saying i thought MS would buy in September, made sense as it was the anniversary of Zenimax. Didnt happen though

no way outer worlds 2, avowed, starfield, fable, es 6, fallout 5. Their in production at various stages.

You joke, but they really could use a nice support studio that really helps them scale these. I’d absolutely be enamored with a purchase of a support studio of say 500+ people that can switch to whatever big wrpg is in production to add more polish, content, side quests etc.

Plus if something like that let them get some Fallout games in production, that would be the cherry on top.
