Reading people on OtherEra saying that Sony should aim at T2 because MS will not risk buying another publisher or trying to outbid Sony as long as the Activision acquisition is not agreed by anti-trust (probably around June 2023).

Microsoft could just pay Take Two more to remain independent than Sony could to purchase them if it came down to it.

So what games UBI release this year ? two expansion ? AC one and Rainbow extraction(it’s pretty much rainbow six siege reskinned with zombie style mode as stand alone dlc)
UBI could be the next one on the table to grab if things do not improve (i’m not saying MS would get them)

They assume that if MS wanted to outbid Sony before the Activision deal is confirmed by regulators, they coulndn’t/shouldn’t because it would jeopardize the Activision acquisition regarding the regulators.
I hate to be Debbie Downer, but what if this acquisition gets struck down for anti-trust laws.
Does that make it more likely or less likely Microsoft would then look at publishers like WB Games, Take Two or Sega?
If it does make it less likely to go after publishers again, do we expect MS to then go and purchase as many independent developers as they can or just build their studios up, instead?
Pure nonsense. Microsoft acquired 14 companies last year. If they want to bid on T2 while AB is still going through they’ll do it.

Really feeling the Bungie purchase is imminent. Especially after Satya name dropped them when talking about cloud tech recently. Bring them home Phil and you’ll have ID, I fucking W, 343, and Bungie as sisters. I’m speechless.

Minecraft was more about MS than Xbox, it’s under xbox but it acts as other division.
I’ll admit I was a doubter. Even right before the Bethesda news I was still a doubter and had so much worry about Xbox’s future. But then that happened and now this. Phil really made something that seemed impossible.

I think we would look a lot more fondly at Activision would they be in a better state.
At the moment we only see COD, but at it’s best they have a lot going for them.
- Overwatch
- StarCraft/Warcraft
- Diablo
- Crash
- Tony Hawk
- COD
With the ability to develop all of them at the same time. And huge potential to branch more out like Riot Games.
