Xbox Acquisition |OT4| It's Acquisition Season for Xbox with $69 Billion deal, NICE!

Truly shocking, just like Zenimax was at the time.

I certainly never expected anybody to be going after such large companies and I’m in good company.

If I hear any of you jerks start begging for more companies after another 2 months because it’s been 60 days since the last major acquisition I swear to dog.

I doubt they are done this year.

Techland, SE Europe, IOI, CDPR, all may happen

People already talking about what’s next lol.

I think they stop for a while.

It’s not done, there is still a long road ahead.

All I could think about when I saw this news was this moment from Inception.

Are you referring to the long road before the deal closes? If so, while I don’t think there will be issues based on acquisitions we’ve seen and the state of the market, it is indeed a bit of a tail to this deal.

Holy shit…. No wonder it’s so cold where I’m at, we’ve got Hindle on the acquisitions hype train! Let’s fucking go, ain’t no one stoppin us!!!

Gathers composure. Jolly good old chap.

Jez only heard that Microsoft wanted to make a big entry at mobile, since Activision is a publicy traded company, giving out the word before would be likely a crime of inside information and trading.

Call of duty is a kids franchise.

What a glorious day. I can’t wait to binge play the Call of Duty campaigns I have missed. My XSX is ready for all the goodness.

This acquisition could possibly not be done till 2023 at the latest no?

I believe June 2023, from what I recall?

I think Microsoft doesn’t want to draw too much attention with further acquisitions, at least until it’s cleared.

But I also absolutely think single studios or something like the parts of SE or Nordisk are possible.

Even WBIE seems too big for now. But I’m neither a lawyer nor consultant on this topic. Just seems like the safest way.

It might just be me, but I have always thought instead of a yearly release full COD game. It should be a gaas subscription platform. Have a constant multi-player with the best maps from every game. Update it slowly over time, but have the core MP like warzone. That way you can release campaign and campaign updates every year or every other year. Maybe with Gamepass they can do that. Either way I am glad I won’t have to pay $70 every other year to play COD now.

I know Market Cap isn’t what the solid price is, but interesting. I do feel most of these prices will be much higher than the market cap

T2 would definitely be higher since they will acquire Zynga (T2 stock tanked after the news while Zynga was up bigly so hard to know their final valuation)

I think you would have to imagine some +50% Premium to the Market cap (Zynga was 67%, Glu Mobile around 33% I believe).

Konami 6B doing nothing. Amazing.

Pachinko a lucrative business, ha. On the real its probably combination of their non gaming stuff and their IPs being valuable. Still crazy their market cap is higher than Capcom, Sega, and Square
