I dont think this is a thing in the industry Hindle and the CD one is an absolute outlier because god knows what Square is doing. I dont know why EA would want to “loan” one of their studios to anybody either.
Cause they are not making any money, which is exactly the same as Crystal Dynamics.
Id rather them buy studios not tied for like 5 years lol.
Doesnt answer the point that this isnt done in the industry. EA isnt in the business of lending its studios lol and Im sure Microsoft is paying a hefty amount to Square for CD which unlike Bioware have a better track record the past few years.
It happens a lot, Nordisk with Avalanche and Mercury Steam being other examples
Nordisk is not a video game publisher lol. Sega is a good example though.

Nordisk own video game studios, theyre in the industry etc.
Point is, Bioware would be a great team to work with on an exclusive project

Wonder why they didnt buy the studio when Capcom shut it down.
If EA thinks Bioware making games for them is a financial risk, I can see them let MS fund a game with them.

Idk how you see a studio be a financial risk and let them take their time with Dragon Age to be the game they want to be and green light 2 Mass Effect projects in that time frame.
Seems a lot of faith in there and with Zampella being the most powerful man in EA possibly Im sure he will get them time and resources.

Ive got serious question marks over the next Dragon Age and ME. The former seems to be in dev hell as it is

To EA they blatantly are though. Havent had a hit in like 8 years
I mean they gotta nail the game because its really important for their immediate future and they have changed the game to be a purely single player game removing GaaS elements that were rumored to had been in the game already.
I wouldn’t worry tbh. The more silence from Bioware after the Anthem disaster the better.
