Not at all. I myself have wanted to see Gears For Breakfast bought by MS too.
I’d love that to be Larian Studios, I just unfortunately don’t see that happening.
But man can one dream about a Shadowrun under them, with the backing from MS.
I’ve said before, I think with lesser-known quantities like Playful, Krome, and Gears for Breakfast, a XGS Publishing deal is probably a better idea for building a relationship before acquisition. Start there, and see how the development process goes.
So tired of them that they let them do ME Legendary edition, let them do whatever they want with the next dragon age and green lit another Mass Effect lol.
New solution. Buy wizards of the coast. License Mass Effect from EA.
Never say never!
Unless it’s someone like Quantic Dream.
Sorry to ask but someone can share a link or something about gears for breakfast wanting to work on banjo?
Geez why they want to mess with bioware, when you can get one of the main mastermind’s new studio humanoid. He’s already testing the new game prototype, his company has 2 physical office locations he has over 50.employees from bioware many from mass effect and dragon age. People from or were in bioware are joining…bioware mass effect team just lost this lady ro him. https://twitter.com/CabLivingstone/status/1466080288937676800. eviddntly people have a lot of faith an confidence in casey hudson. For review casey hudson left his position at bioware end of december, announcdd his new studio in may of this year, 5 months after quitting. Xbox doent’t need to acquire them but can bring them in like asobo and avalanche.
I can’t find the original tweet, but several years ago, I’m pretty sure GFB tweeted in reply to something from Xbox asking to make a new Banjo game, and since then, people have clamored to that in hopes of a collaboration.
I think a good first step would be getting A Hat in Time onto Game Pass and seeing what kind of engagement that brings, and possibly exploring a publishing deal for their next project.
A Hat in Time was notoriously pretty buggy for a while and lacked polish, but it had a lot of heart otherwise. They’ve continued to support it with DLC for a while now, too. I hesitate to say they’d be a great acquisition target but I think there could be potential there if a publishing partnership goes well and the team is able to step up their level of quality.
Ok this podcast airs in 50 mins with colt miles dompier and randslthor to disciss xbox game new studio partnership, jhable to find anything in news, twitrer etc on it. New Xbox Studio Partnership | New Games Announced & Xbox Game Pass Changes 2021 Xbox News Cast 32 - YouTube
EAs managing of Bioware has been fucking terrible
I’m pretty sure Jeff Grubb or Tom Warren would of beat Colt to the punch on the new Xbox studio partnership on Twitter.
Like a new Dragon Age makes sense, as there is a ton of goodwill due to Inquistion. However its coming way too long after it.
They lost their last creative directorvfor da4 2 weeks ago…noice no trailer gsa either. I,just look to casey hudson’s humanoid and mike laidlaw’s yellowbrick for the future.
Gotta wonder when was the last time EA made any money off them. They should sell to MS
Like this year with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition which also got them goodwill and got millions of people to play Mass Effect on modern systems lol.
A compilation pales in comparison to the kind of profit a full blown release does.
Andromedia flopped, Anthem flopped, both expensive to make. No way legendary edition made that back
MS would be smart to approach EA and ask to contract Bioware for a game, like they have done with CD
Great goalpost shift Hindle.
Microsoft should simply purchase WB Games. So easy.
