That was when they launched, as a person who played destiny 1 from its launch i folowed bungie as well. Thanks to the activision effect they had a lot of talent leave, the bungie now is not the bungie of then. Really to compare their new ip to starfield is laughable.
The Destiny 2 of today is still played by millions, and the expansions were well received. People come, people go, its the industry.
And the next new IP from Bungie its going to be huge. Bungie always hit

I admit Bungie are great in certain areas, they have a following and a name. It would be emotional and all. But I still wouldn’t want them to be bought back by MS, UNLESS - and that’s a very big unless - somehow someway MS has a seperate budget specifically for Bungie and it wouldn’t affect other acquisition targets and decisions in any way, which doesn’t seem realistic.
I think a good thing would be to publish thier next game, it could be as good as an acquisition really.
Yes, this is absolutely true. People who avoid multiplayer games like to downplay how good Bungie is simply because Destiny isn’t on their personal radar, but that’s stupid. They’re still top of the heap.

I’ve brought up Tequila Works before as a studio I think could thrive with the added resources of Xbox. Here’s some footage of their next game, due out in 2022. Published by Riot/Tencent.
I know we hate stereotypes/tropes around here, but in my opinion, this is exactly the kind of game that Game Pass needs a steady feed of.

I think TESO is an MMO with so much impact it has 19 Million players but it came out 4 years after FF XIV, I think The Elder Scrolls is more popular than Final Fantasy overall, also Sea of Thieves gathered more 25 Million players in 3 years which is enormous.
