I think he was being facetious. The word “monopoly” gets thrown around without understanding among the gaming community. Not a lot of context in the accusations. The word will come up after Microsoft’s next big publisher…and the “internet lawyers” refers to those people who don’t understand the situation.

Why not Iron Galaxy?
They already have experience with Killer Instinct season’s 2 & 3.
They could expand the studio and bring in some fighting game veteran developers.

Iron Galaxy do mainly ports though yes they work on KI season 2 and 3 adding DLC characters but they did not make the game that was Double Helix.
Iron Galaxy might not want to be acquired. They seem pretty happy being a work-for-hire studio.

I don’t think It’s true but uf these rumors are real and MS Is going to buy take Two or (and) EA, PS could close their division without a gamepass in its system. Too much important IPs.
