Has nothing to do with Zenimax, and everything to do with the time required to finalize acquisitions. I’m not sure why anyone still thinks MS isn’t actively in talks/finalizing deals across the board given the very clear messaging from Satya, Phil, Matt, and the fact that they declared as much to the SEC.

Not only very few will hear about those big deals, but also that Zenimax was a non traded company, a publicy traded one must have everything under the wraps until the day it becomes public, that means you would have traditional meetings inside and outside at the company mixed with the deal process behind closed doors so no one will think there’s something big happening.

Don’t want to be rude, but I hate this type of messaging. You make it sound as if you know for sure what companies xbox are talking to or any impending xbox acquisitions which I don’t expect you to know (Unless you do, then please give us a hint).
Broadly, probably you will be right just as I can say ‘Xbox is gonna acquire someone within the next 12 months. If it doesn’t happen it’s because these talks take time and it will be next year’ and rise and repeat until it happens. We can safely assume any big gaming company have had / is having these acquistions talks but that doesn’t mean any of that will materialize or that it will happen soon enough to give assurances of that message.
So in short and fancy words
Nobody knows a lick and we all should continue on gaming

Tldr, everyone is on the dark about acquisitions and people saying there are acquisitions talks or acquisitions incoming / finalizing are probably also in the dark and are just assuming. My opinion, don’t want to be negative Nancy, or be labeled a troll
My take is…. I don’t care if we get giant or massive news, I’m just hoping for something super.

So Sony’s outhere making AAA Japanese Studios (suppoesdly) and the people who kicked off E3 with an acqusition hype train of stupid are now saying “Nothing this year”

Japan Studio was basically changed to Team Asobi as the Astrobot team is still there in the same building creating a new third person adventure platformer but it won’t be Astrobot. It’s said to be a new IP. Sony building a new AAA studio in Japan is something that I would have to see to believe though.
As for Microsoft, im surprised if that Paradox Interactive deal fell through. I was expecting that to easily happen but I guess not.
I saw this before you posted it and it sounds fake. You can look at the guys reddit profile and see he’s just a fanboy that doesn’t appear to have any information. Not to mention his original claim about Housemarque appears to just be him having noticed a line in an interview, but now he claims to have “sources”? Pfft.

Reminder we have no proof that there was any kind of negoiations for a Paradox acqusition.
All @Shpeshal_Nick said was that Microsoft and Paradox were “talking”

There is no assumption being made when it comes to Microsoft’s pursuit of additional studios… all of the aforementioned names were given for a reason, as they’ve explicitly stated their intentions within the last two months on the very subject.
The only assumption being made here is assuming I have no knowledge on potential pursuits.

I like when sports executives or movie studio execs step down or retire and they spill all the hot behind the scenes info of trades that almost happened or casting choices that fall apart at the last second. I would love a retrospective one day of acquisitions that almost happened and then didn’t for some reason. Especially in the period around 2018 and 2019 when they were trying to pad their studios any way possible.

I mentioned that Xbox has most likely been doing acquisition talks for many studios. My skepticism is just people saying they know who they pursuing and when they are acquiring. So far many of then have been correct on gaming leaks except acquisition leaks ( Techland, Avalanche, etc.). Please elaborate on your info because just saying ‘I know stuff’ just make me more skeptical and doesn’t really discredit my assumption that insiders don’t know about acquisitions either.
