What’s next?
Are you going to cage yourself next to your already caged Grandma, I wonder.
For general awareness, are the keys going to be with your ‘dog’?

No…ea is like a graveyard…please no
Ok, only NRS and TT being on the table from wb - gives me hope about getting better teams who have veteran talent, and can create award winning games.
I am going to wish for underrated talent like – Brass Tokens (ex Sleeping Dogs devs), Velan (Knockout City) along with the proven partners like – Asobo, IOI, Moon, and Crytek. And not forgetting horror devs like SadSquare or Red Barrels (both near Montreal) or SuperMassive, Jumpship in England - or someone like Playdead in Denmark.
Does not completely solve the ‘nostalgia deficiency’ that Jez was mentioning, and I hope they try to buy IP too in some way, if WB is not willing to let go of past IP.
A buyout of Konami IP comes to mind, but that would be just guessing. I have generally no idea what Konami intends to do next, and whether they have the necessary funds to do full AAA publishing.
Who did Aliiance Officer say MS were looking at?
I think it was IOI, Netherrealm, TT, Rocksteady, and Avalanche. Maybe Monolith too? I don’t remember if they were included.
My word. Just discovered that TT Games made Leander on my old Amiga.
Get them!
Seems WB want to sell, so see no reason why they dont get them.
If MS can get them without the licenses, they should absolutely get these set of studios
They also have a lot of experience working on someone else’s gaming IP, like Sonic or Crash. TT are really underrated, because they are known for maken ‘kiddy’ Lego games. But they are a solid studio and also have good tech.
Got to say I don’t get the controversy over the thread. 99% of it is normal forum users enjoying the process of speculation over who MS might acquire, and debate over who they should acquire. If people don’t like speculation, then no one is forcing them to visit the thread.
Yeah, there are a handful of people claiming to have heard things. Maybe they have, maybe they haven’t. Maybe the things they heard are true, maybe they are possibilities that will never come to fruition. So what?
It’s on you if you take unsubstantiated rumours seriously or not. Forum mods can deal with people who perpetually spread falsehoods, but for the most part it’s harmless as anyone with an ounce of common sense doesn’t take it seriously anyway, and the rest of the world doesn’t have to flex around the sensibilities of those with no common sense.
Why can’t we just enjoy speculation and debate for the fun of it?
TT games would be a great get. Those guys in my opinion have been a very consistent studio
If they can get TT WITH the lego licenses its a major coup. Get them.
I imagine Lego would easily let XBOX use their IP. It would be in the best interest of Lego of course
Idk this obsession with not working with licensed properties. Xbox has enough in house IP’s now that some lego games aint gonna hurt them lmao.
On the off chance they do end up buying Travelers Tales can they please go back to their old logo? Their new one is probably the biggest downgrade in the history of studio logos.

I’d actually love if they leave LEGO behind and do something new.
Yeh but…. Lego versions of Xbox IP would be so fun. Gears, Doom, Halo, Elder Scrolls, Fable, Perfect Dark, Sea Of Thieves etc etc
It wouldn’t shock me if NetherRealm and TT get announced relatively soon to be honest because it is somewhat odd that right after the CEO and Xbox leadership clearly said they would continue to grow content you had Phil Spencer mention that the team still talks about Killer Instinct and wanting a studio that could do something and about more family friendly E-rated type content.
Love the old logo. It can be modernized a bit though, it looks very 90s.
Personally think it looks great as it is, reminds me of old picture books for kids like Dr. DeSoto. Could definitely un-clutter the font though.
