So my tought might be correct, Phil is after TT and Netherealm, but perhaps WBIG as a whole so they have two studios for E rated games and the rest on the Mature side.
Man… its almost like Phil was telling us they wanted a family friendly studio…

No worse than Sony possibly getting SF 6 as a full exclusive again. Don’t really see the difference. I’m not a fighting game guy but NetherRealm is the best and that would be an excellent acquisition and one that Microsoft must make because rumors have it that Sony is going after them too which makes sense since they own Evo (???) or whatever it’s called. If Sony acquires NetherRealm, the fighting game genre will literally be dead and non-existent on Xbox.

If Xbox lost neitherrelm to Sony it would not be good for xbox. If they keep them hey can keep making good fighting games and who knows, maybe make something new thats not a fighting game.
They have Rare which is family fiendly
With TT, youd have a dev who can bring back Banjo and Kameo

The big clue is Phil saying KI isn’t dead they just need a developer to make the game, hello. NR could be the XGS fighter team, they could make KI and MK, it doesn’t have to be KI v MK they could be their own game. I think 2 1st party fighter games would pretty much cover that base imo plus with the 3rd party fighters they can try get on the system.
Like many have already said TT could be their E team, these 2 studios have always made sense and I think MS would try their hardest to not let them slip.
