Just got off of work Did I miss anything guys?

MK vs Killer instinct ?

Doesn’t NRS make MK and Injustice? Is that one team that alternates on those two series, or two teams?

Welcome! or better: Seja Bem vindo! :slightly_smiling_face:

Well if NRS gets sold they likely wont be making Injustice games anymore.

You mean Killer Kombat

If you go back to earlier episodes of the podcast, I stan for Shin’en so often lol.

I would love for MS to acquire them. Incredible talent.

I’m going to shoot my shot: If Xbox acquires TT along with the ability to license Lego games, they’ll be knocking at Nintendo’s door as a causal oriented juggernaut of games soon enough.

It doesn’t matter if Lego would remain multi-platform like Minecraft—they’d inherently be Xbox games as day one Game Pass titles. They’re also two of the biggest accessible properties in the world.

Now you factor in the revitalization of Rare, the massive franchise that is Sea of Thieves, and you have another big title under your umbrella that is family-friendly and bordering the line of iconic.

Get a few more quality studios under your belt, bring back Banjo and Viva Piñata, and Xbox in parallel to xCloud will be a threat to the Switch. TT is by far the most important acquisition to make out of all of WB in my opinion.

I want a lego Halo game because I am sure I am not the only person that was intrigued by Halo Mega Block that leaked

TT Games is awesome, they add one more on top of that and they’ll be close. Nintendo is just a freaking beast with those E rated titles. They especially don’t have anything in the party game aspects which is why I’ve suggested Jackbox in the past.

Ah so Jez said he doesn’t think acquisitions are happening soon

They take time to work out all the details. Also, what’s the definition of “soon”?

He also said that he doesn’t have the evidence to neither confirm nor deny that Microsoft is actively in discussions to acquire these teams. Given the rumors spanning a year ago now, I’d say it’s likely they’re poking around at minimum.

Considering we just saw a mobile studio sold off to EA a week ago, and it seems that some of the bloat as it were wants to be trimmed prior to this merger between Discovery and AT&T if I understand correctly, we could see acquisitions relatively soon if discussions have been ongoing since last year.

Other companies will be looking to acquire these studios. Xbox wants more studios. The parent company of TT and NR want to sell them off seemingly with haste. Xbox won’t let either studio go, both that fill a niche missing in its portfolio, without making an effort.

Again, Satya doesn’t get on camera with Phil to talk about how invested Xbox is in gaming, as well as Matt Booty talking about strategic acquisitions, if they don’t have purchases in their sights if not in the pipeline. Jeff Grub said he’s heard that Xbox was looking at NR and Rocksteady.

I will be shocked if when everything is said and done, Xbox doesn’t come away with at least one studio and within the next six months. There’s too much smoke.

Expected NR but not TT

I asked about “soon” from the following post, as that’s the key to knowing what he meant:
