So this rumor could be true at least
Crysis and Ryse are very good IP. We are talking about a really talented people with a fantastic engine: they needed more investiments.
Because he loves moderating this thread.

Crytek would make sense, though I feel people are a bit too… romantic… about it because of Ryse. I would be a bit underwhelmed, honestly, if this was the acquisition.

Crysis was a great IP 15 years ago (2 full console gens) and Ryse is what I consider a glorified tech demo. Crytek got nothing of real value imo for Microsoft.

I doubt they’re interested in Rhyse as well, it’s dead. I’m thinking this rumour is not who MS are buying

Regarding Ryse, only thing that prevents the Ryse IP from coming back is its reputation in my opinion. It’s still associated with the Xbox One fiasco and the game got trashed in reviews for completely unfair reasons.
Even though I absolutely loved Ryse and want it to be back, at this point, why not make a game set in Ancient Rome or other historical periods but use a new IP with no toxic background instead. I don’t know.
